"Hi my love!" I say as I go up to Neville from behind. He pushes me away and gives me a look that I didn't know he could have.

"I have girlfriend," he says. That just makes me smile and then his eyes soften. "Asphodel! It's you! Your hair! I didn't recognize you! I'm so sorry, dear."

I chuckle. "It's alright, do you like it?"

"Of course I do, why did you dye it?" He tilts his head with curiosity.

"The Weasley twins did this and I can't go back to brown until a month," I sigh. "It's kind of growing on me though, I'm starting to like it."

"You look lovely either way," he smiles. "How are you preparing for the last trial?"

"Oh you know, just trying to figure out what Dumbledore is planning this time. What's up with you?"

He shrugs. "Nothing much, a lot of homework since exams are coming."

I groan. "Don't even get me started on exams! I've been so focused on the tournament that I totally forgot about- wait a second."

"What?"

"Oh sh- oh my goodness! Neville!"

"What is it?"

"I forgot to write back to my parents this whole year! They have sent me letters asking about school! It's already March and I haven't written a single letter to them!"

"Oh that's bad, don't you have a family owl?"

I shake my head. "I only have my cat,"—I turn around and head for the doors of the library—"I'm going to ask Harry for Hedwig! See you later Neville!"

"Alright then!" He waves.

As I go down the corridor to the Gryffindor common room, I start to wonder what the next trial is going to be. Maybe what Dumbledore told me is a clue. He said that the truth is always revealed and that all of the pieces in the puzzle will fit, or something close to that, but what pieces? And what secrets? Maybe he knows who put my name in the Goblet? But again, he looked really angry when he saw my name in there, just like with Harry's. Something that I do remember though, is him describing all of this mazelike. He emphasized that word. Maybe that's what the next trial will be? A maze? I'll have to find out in two weeks.

Now onto the bigger question, who in the world would put my name in the Goblet of fire? I know Harry's situation had to do something with Voldemort but what about me? I don't think Voldemort has anything against me or my family...right? I don't know much about his past or my parents'. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to ask. Who else could have put my name in there? Maybe Snape? But that theory would only lead me back to Voldemort. Something's odd about this school.

"Hi!" Harry's voice interrupts my thoughts as I approach the door to the Gryffindor House.

"Oh hey Harry," I smile. "I need a favor, could I borrow Hedwig so I can send a letter to my parents? I haven't written back to them this whole school year."

"I don't see why not," he smiles. "Just come to the common room when you're done with the letter and I'll send it with Hedwig."

"Alright, thanks!"

"Anytime."

———

I'm sitting in my desk with a quill in hand thinking about what to write first. Maybe I should start with everything that happened before the trial. How I was sorted in to Ravenclaw, and some of the friends that I made here. The last letter they sent me was before the second trial where they wished me good luck and to be careful with the mermaids. The first letter they sent was where they asked worriedly how in the world I got selected for the Tri Wizard Tournament. They also asked why I didn't tell them and why they had to find out by reading the newspaper. So maybe I should start by answering the first letter.

"Is that for your parents?" Luna asks. She's currently getting her hair done by Ginny and Cho is out on a date with Cedric since it's the weekend.

"Yeah, how did you know?" I look over my shoulder at her and she just shrugs with a smile.

"I still can't believe you haven't written back to them all year," Ginny says. "You must've been more stressed about the tournament than you thought."

I turn my chair to face both of them and nod. "I didn't think I was taking it that seriously but I guess I was. What do you think the next trial is going to be?"

She shrugs. "There's no way to tell. It all depends of what Dumbledore decides."

"Interesting man, Dumbledore," Luna says quietly. "You never know what you'll get from him."

"That you're right about," I say.

After that, I turn my chair back around and start to wrote about my grades and how well I'm doing in class. Then, I tell them all about Neville and how good he's been to me. They'll probably want to invite him for dinner in the summer. I tell them how all of the trials went so far—even though they probably already found out through newspaper—and also talk about how I'm preparing for the last trial.

I don't mention anything about Voldemort or my suspicions. It's best if they think that I got selected by coincidence. My father will believe it but my mother is too smart. I don't want her to worry about me so I end the letter by telling them how everything is fine and that I'm enjoying school so far. Which is partially true.

I fold the letter and put it in an envelope. Then, I go over to give it to Harry and he delivers it.
