Taehyung was sitting in the living with a book in his hand, reading. He will have to go back to work soon, even though he still didn't get a chance to talk to his boss yet, but he figured in the mean time he will use this break to read.
After an hour passed, he went to the kitchen to get a glass of water when he met Jungkook on his way out.
"Are you going somewhere?" Taehyung asked, rather surprised to see the other was dressed up in the middle of the day, on a Saturday .
"O, yeah, I am going to pick up something from my parents house and go to the office after" Jungkook replied.
"Would you like me to come with you?, I can go and get changed" Taehyung offered. Seeing how the other has been somewhat nice to him over the past days, he figured he might not be opposed by the idea of going to see his parents.
In the past, as Taehyung recalled, Jungkook hated it, he said he didn't want to go the extra mile of pretending to be a happy couple by going to see his parents with him.
Now Taehyung stood in front of Jungkook, secretly hoping that he would say yes, he has changed now right.
"O, that's okay, you don't need to come, I am just going to pick up something and then go to work" Jungkook replied.
"O, okay" Taehyung replied, feeling rather disappointed. "W-will you be back in time for dinner" he decided to ask. Somehow he could feel that he was getting greedy, wanting more of Jungkook given the change he has seen recently.
Maybe it wasn't a good idea to expect so much, maybe he should not even try to hold on to the little happiness he was getting. But he did.
"Yes, I will be back in time" Jungkook replied with a small smile. This was still too new for him. Sometimes he forgets that there is someone in his life now. If Taehyung hadn't met him at the stairs, he might have left without even telling him.
Jungkook later excused himself and headed to his parents place.
Taehyung didn't really feel like reading anymore. He wasn't sure if he completely believed that Jungkook was going to work on a Saturday or dropping by his parents. Before he would use his parents as an excuse to go to clubs since he didn't like Taehyung asking too many questions.
"But he said he will be back for dinner" Taehyung said assuring himself.

Jungkook sat opposite his parents, his mother didn't even bother trying to hide how happy she was. And his father was no help either, the man can be very serious and stern, especially when it comes to work, but when he is with his wife, he is the biggest softie ever, so it was no surprise that he was on board with what she had to say."Mom, are you even listening to yourself?" Jungkook asked in disbelief. Jimin had done him the favor of explaining to them what had happened. And even though Jungkook wasn't sure about what their reaction would be, this wasn't it.
"Why not? he is so adorable" his mother replied leaning on her husband's shoulder, Jimin showed her pictures. Jungkook sighed "I will return it once he gets better" he said picking up the ring from the table.
"You know, this ring has been in my family for many generations, it's something of a family treasure" his mother said with glee.
Jungkook scoffed, "and you are just giving away your family treasure like that?" he asked, "you know I can just buy him a new ring"
His mother shook his head, "tsk! where is the romance in that? you know you should be grateful, that you just magically got a husband without even trying, cause honey you are really terrible at relationships"
