The sun had risen; Keir and Farenon spent their night chatting and at one point during their conversation they concluded they should have a duel to see just how strong they are. Both being dragon warriors it meant that neither really had an opponent on their level.
The blizzard that was supposed to hit this general area was redirected due to the change of wind so there was no hazard in that regard. Still, both agreed it would be best to fight outside. Farenon lead him to a large spacious courtyard; there were a few elves honing both their skill and weapons and they immediately looked their way. They bowed and greeted Farenon.
"I was wondering about that; you didn't mention it back when we were talking. Your brother runs the place, no? Are you a prince or something?" Keir asked, Farenon moved opposite of him and drew his bow and scoffed.
"I'm something I guess. Because of the whole 'dragon warrior' shtick I was put in charge of military training and brother was appointed to rule." He replied and his eyes began to glow a misty white. "Get ready..."
At that point everyone present on the spot moved out of the way to the sides so that they may still watch the show. Many pointed out their concerns among themselves seeing their chief use his powers in a duel; which he is usually forbidden to use against others.
Keir chuckled and drew out his two Hellblade daggers, enveloping them in a shadowy mist and his eyes turning black, a sudden silence from those on the sidelines. Keir pounced towards him, the only way he could fight him if he closes the distance. It was dangerous to allow Farenon to use ranged attacks.
Should Keir dodge Farenon's arrow, there is a potential that arrow would break something or kill one of the bystanders. He went to knock the bow from his hands and force him to use a dagger that is tied around his waist; right before impact however Farenon vanished from sight.
A product of sixth sense, told Keir to drop a blade and turn around to catch the arrow that was flying towards him. A moment too late and He would have had an arrow sticking from his back. His hand became numb and sore from catching it. If this arrow was to cross anyone else's path that person would explode into a grand pile of gory mush.
It left Keir a little puzzled just how Farenon managed to move without Keir seeing him actually move. He looked down; there were obviously footprints in the snow. "How did you do that?" he decided to ask instead of wrecking his mind over it.
"You have your secrets I have mine." The elf replied with a smug smile. Keir pouted and grumbled how it made sense but that he could still give him an answer before jumping back into action. Once again, he vanishes before his very own eyes, leaving a trail of footprints behind to where he moved.
Keir paused for a moment, looking at Farenon and his posture. He pounced several times afterwards. He was slightly out of breath. He took a deep breath and pounced again and as predicted Farenon moved. So he slashed a ripple, went through it and opened another ripple from which he came out of; drop kicking the disoriented elf onto the floor.
Keir dropped on his ass; this was as far as this was going to go. Farenon laughed and sat up, placing his hand over the right-hand side of his waist. "I take it you don't want to continue?" Keir shook his head. "Yeah, me too." He groaned and lied down in the snow. The bystanders began approaching inwards of the courtyard and resumed their training.
"So tired... maybe it's good we haven't slept before fighting; I have a feeling we would have destroyed most of the area." Keir stated and Farenon hummed in agreement.
The best course of action was to go to sleep and deal with whatever comes after that when it comes. A slight commotion occurred; some female servant elves came outside and began to talk to the guards. The guards who spoke with the servants would occasionally throw a glance towards Keir and Farenon.
