Aaron placed his hand on the bar of the door; heating the lock with his fire he then pulled the door off and threw it behind him. "Go... Lloyd should be nearby..." Elias slowly left and took the other two that were locked up with him.
Aaron walked away from the cage and towards the hanging person, it was obviously Tundra, his heart told him so, it pained him to see her in chains. He released her from her confinement and she immediately pounced and began to feed on him. He pat her head and insisted that she eats her fill.
Elias stood in shock as he saw his friend devoured; then on the other hand he was unsure how that would be Aaron. Would Aaron allow something like that? The Aaron he knew wanted to live, he fought to live. This wasn't Aaron, not his Aaron anyway.
Tundra sucked on Aaron blood while he whispered words of comfort. Bellow them were bones, human bones, of the people she was forced to eat in order to live on until help arrives. As she regained more of her life force their connection through the bond deepened and Aaron could clearly feel her despair and self-disgust. Aaron apologized for making her wait so long.
"Damien; take everyone as far as you can." Aaron made a request; it was astounding how much his tone and aura had changed within that hour gap of Damien leaving him outside to now. Damien complied; he did not wish to argue with the boy, who was now a man in his eyes, his fearful blue eyes that only seemed to soften for Tundra.
Aaron took off his cloak and wrapped Tundra into it, then picked her up and brought her over to Damien. He took Tundra who had fallen asleep from exhaustion and retreated up the stairs. At the foot of the stairs Damien looked at Aaron with a questioning gaze that asked "Do you know what you are doing?"
Aaron cracked his neck and stretched his arms. Damien would love to see what he was going to do; something told him it would be brilliant and powerful; he knows he needs to leave now because of that power or everyone will become ash.
Up the stairs Elias met up with Lloyd who was thrilled to see he was alright. Damien told them there was no time for chitchat they had to get a move on. When Lloyd wanted to expand on that topic Elias pushed him up the stairs; he trusted Elias' judgement.
Outside was chaos; the prisoners that escaped from down the corridor attacked the cultists or their corpses lied motionlessly on the ground while the third kind of people was of the fleeing type. The amount of carnage present was hard for Elias and Lloyd to digest.
Regardless, they needed a fast getaway. "You two." Damien called out for them, Elias flinched. "I'll have to entrust her to you while I transform. Once I do, you'll to climb on my back and figure out how to mount her too. Time is of the essence."
Before they could squeeze in a question, the darkness enveloped Damien and his body expanded turning him into a vicious looking hellhound. Elias shivered and Lloyd felt his guts turn. Damien laid down on the ground, letting out a soft growl he wanted to remind them what they had to do.
Elias bravely took the lead. Placing his hand on Damien he was surprised of the softness to say the least; he didn't seem that scary anymore. Lloyd passed the wrapped up Tundra to him and followed after shortly, surprised by the soft black fur as well. Once Damien concluded they settled in he darted from the cultist camp.
As Damien ran he didn't feel the ground shake but the sound reached them soon and the eruption of blue flames was a clear indication Aaron did something. Damien stopped for only a moment before he went back increasing the distance.
Damien walked slowly since by his calculated assumption they were far enough from any potential danger. A slow stroll along the road, two men burst out from the camps general direction. They freaked when they saw a hellhound and ran fast praying and repenting for their sins.
