It was night time at Jericho's coroner office, and it was deadly silent like the bodies that were kept there.

That is, until something thudded in the air vents, and could be heard crawling along inside them. The grate to the vents opened above a surveillance camera, and Thing hopped out of the vent, onto the camera.

"Dr. Kinbott says I should get out more."

Thing took a piece of black bubble gum and placed it on top of the camera.

"Says I need to open my mind to new people and experiences. Who am I to argue with her professional clichés?"

Thing crawled over to a remote on the wall that opened a large garage-sized door. He pressed the 'open' button, allowing Wednesday to slip in, and then re-closed it.

"While I do the autopsy, you find the files of the monster's other victims and make copies." He ordered.

Wednesday placed his bag on a table, and Thing crawled on top of it and tapped the table.

"Don't pout. Your scalpel skills are questionable." He unrolled a set of different knives and saws and scalpels on the table. "Do you remember my 13th birthday, when Uncle Fester gave me that cadaver? You sliced right through that man's carotid."

Thing tapped table in reluctant agreement and went off to make copies, as Wednesday opened various doors along the wall to find the right dead body.

"No...no...*sniff*...magnificent hematoma... There you are."

Wednesday pulled out the body of the bearded man and then grabbed a recorder. "Thursday, 7:23 pm. The body is that of a fifty year old male."

Wednesday lifted the sheet that covered his body. "Lacerations and defensive wounds appear on both hands. What remains of the chest and torso indicates a frenzied attack. Subject has been almost entirely disemboweled."

Wednesday bent down and took a look at the man's lower body. "This is curious. Subject's left foot is missing. It appears to have been chewed off at the ankle."

Just then, the doors swung open and Thing crawled in.

"Have you seen a left foot anywhere?"

Thing began tapping frantically at the ground.

"Calm down. Who's coming?" He asked.

Thing tapped the ground and scurried off to hide. Wednesday shoved the body back in the container and went to find a hiding spot as well.

...

Sheriff Galpin and a doctor entered the building and shrugged off their coats.

"Appreciate you coming back to the office, Doc." The sheriff thanked.

"No problem sheriff. Whatever I can do to help." The doctor reassured.

They entered the room where all the bodies were kept.

"Whatever or whoever is responsible for these killings...In all my years, I've never seen injuries like them. I thought you should see this before I issued my report on the latest victim. It's a real noodle scratcher."
