A year. The Will byers-upside down situation happened a year ago. A lot has changed since then. Steve and Hopper managed to bail out Chris from the lab, which took them a while to do. Steve send Chris to go to school. She is now in 8th grade, just like the party. She already had a lot of knowledge from when she had to study a lot for a mission in a school outside of hawkins, so she could do the stuff they learned about in class.
He also found out that Chris likes to play guitar, after catching her in the basement with one and the boys in the background playing dnd. So on her 14th birthday he got her an electric guitar. A nice Fender player telecaster MN in a pretty Ocean turquoise. It's now hanging in her room, which was an old guest room that the two Harringtons remodeled into a normal bedroom. It actually looks pretty sick. They did a great job.
Dustin and her have been spending a lot of time together. They got reaallyy good friends reaaallly fast. He's been teaching her how to play dnd for the past Months, and she's getting really good at it. At least she could now understand the context of stuff. The party also showed her the world of star wars, ghostbusters and arcade games.
Arcades are Chris' favourite now. She loves spending hours playing those silly little games. Right now, she's the top on PacMan. The party calls her the ruler of pacman because of that.
On another note, there was still no sign of El. Mike has been grumpy because of it for the past 3 months. First he tried to play it cool. He was still nice to all of his friends, always in a good mood, but now he is more whiny and sometimes just a little bitch. But he's still kinda nice to Chris. I think it's because soon will be the anniversary of El's disappearing, but i am not sure.
Well, at least there are no slimy giant monsters around, right?
