Beep beep beep. Chris reached out her hand over to the side, and slammed down onto her alarm clock. A groan escaped her lips as she turned back over to the side she slept on. Max was still cuddled into her side, softly snoring every now and then. Chris closed her eyes again, but not for long. Beep beep beep.
'I hit snooze, didn't I?'
Chris groaned again and reached for the alarm again, accidently waking up Max. Max opened her eyes sleepy and saw Chris hitting the alarm clock once again. She stretched and yawned, wanting to go back to the best sleep of her life. "How early is it?" Max asked. Chris turned around while putting on her glasses and noticed the girl was awake. "Oh, good morning. It's about 6:40" Chris said and sat up straight. She rubbed her eyes before throwing her head back onto the headboard. Max groaned at the answer and fell back down onto the bed, hiding her head under the blanket.
Chris chuckled at that. "Why is it so early?" The redhead asked, dragging out the 'early'. Chris shrugged at that. "Well, it is a long ride." "How long?" Max asked, still under the covers. "About 30 minutes on the bike."
At that, Max stuck her head out. "Why do you have to live so far away from the school?" She asked jokingly. Chris smiled and shook her head. The lighter-redhead stood up from the bed and walked over to her table. It was a thing she did every morning. She checked the lyric sheet, hoping for a new idea to jump into her mind.
Max now sat up straight as well, looking at what the other girl was doing. She saw as Chris bobbed her head back and forth, mumbling something before grabbing a pen and scribbling down something at the speed of what seemed like lightning. "What are you doing?" Max asked.
Chris turned her head to Max. "Oh, i was just writing down an idea for a little project." She said and looked back at the new line. 'I'll be spending the rest of my life, in a state, of constant paranoia'. "What project?" Max asked, now interested.
'Shit, uhhh'
"That, I can't tell you. But you'll see in like, a month or something." Chris said and shoved the piece of paper into her backpack. Max looked disappointed, almost as if she was sad that Chris didn't tell her. 'But she said I'll find out, so it may be a surprise or something' she thought. Max stood up and walked towards the bathroom.
Both girls started their morning routine and Chris gave Max some of her clothes to wear.
'She can't go in her halloween costume now, can she?'
It was a yellow sweater, with a light grey t-shirt underneath and some cuffed jeans. She chose them herself. Chris decided to wear the same outfit as yesterday. The two girls ran downstairs and ran to get some food before school. Steve's already sitting downstairs at the kitchen table, drinking some coffee. He looked at them as Chris ran to make herself a coffee as well and Max went to get herself an apple.
"Whoa, why the rush people?" Steve asked confused as to why the girls where hurrying. "We need to get Max's stuff before school" Chris explained and took a sip of her caramel latte. Yeah, she likes to drink fancy stuff, so?
"Well, I am sorry but a can't really drive you today.". Steve left his cup in the sink and went to get a banana. Max was standing next to Chris, watching the siblings interaction, fascinated by how they weren't yelling at each other. And maybe slightly judging Chris for drinking coffee. 'How the fuck is she drinking that shit??'
"What? Why?" Chris asked. "Well, I have to go to a... thing" Steve said unsure. "A thing?" Chris echoed "Yeah, a thing. A silly little thing." Steve said quickly before standing up and put his cup in the sink. He rushed off upstairs and locked himself in his room. Chris furrowed her brows, looking at place where her cousin was sitting previously.
