April Hain had been advised to return to their home town and prepare a private hospital room under the name Zareya Von Klene. She did so, happy to be away from the horrid place.
Inside the basement the officers were discussing how to go about leaving the room. They did not want to alert the child but they did not want to leave whilst she was asleep. Zareya took it upon herself to gently wake the girl after a good 45 minutes. Hopefully she would still be tired and have a lesser reaction.
The psychologist stayed seated on the floor in case the child freaked out. She began to stroke the girls face whilst takin in the little details like the scar across her nose and the light pigmented freckles by ber eyes. She was a beautiful child, there was no doubt about it.
The girl could feel the softness trailing her face and didn't want it to stop. It was not bad. Eventually she gave in and opened her eyes and startled when she saw the person right next to her. Then she registered the warmth she felt. And then the touch. She wanted to attack. She was not safe. They were going to do bad.
She just didn't have the energy."You're alright darling, you're safe remember." The woman whispered to her.
The girl closed her eyes listening to the gentle tones of the woman's voice. She didn't know what Zareya was saying but she enjoyed the softness."We're going to get you out of here, we're going to go in a car and we're going to a hospital." The psychologist informed the girl even though she knew sienna was clueless.
As Zareya stood, Sienna shrieked and tried to escape before being shushed and rocked again. She calmed down, enjoying the sound and motion of the gesture.
The psychologist moved towards the girls corner and gathered her belongings. They consisted of a tattered blanket, the old teddy bear, and the new elephant as well as the food she had been given throughout the last two days.
At being given what's hers the little girl hummed out a noise of happiness and began to relax in the woman's hold. They had a plan to leave, two officers would go first and get the car and everything ready, Zareya would carry the girl to the car and keep her calm, and the other officers would walk behind. They all shared a look before they began to put their plan into action.
Marcus and canden prepared the car, they had to make sure the doors were open so they could drive as soon as possible so the girl would not run away into this forest. The warmed the car up a bit and played gentle music then it was time to bring the child.
They radioed down to the others notifying them that they were ready. The psychologist took in a deep breath in preparation for the inevitable struggle. Still swaying the girl, she moved towards the exit. She spoke soft words to the girl the whole time trying to keep her calm.
It was the stairs that became a problem. Sienna didn't like the stairs, it's where he did bad. She began to panic and wanted to attack. She wanted to so badly. She needed to. She needed to be safe. However her small body didn't have enough energy to keep fighting, all she could do was kick. so she just stayed in the woman's arms kicking her occasionally.
"Shh shh darling, I know it's horrible isn't it. I'm sorry he hurt you, you're safe now." The psychologist assured the girl as they reached the top of the stair case.
With the other officers close behind her, zareya slowly exited the house. She could tell the girl was overwhelmed with everything, the harsh cold, the fresh smell of air and the soft splashes of rain. Trying to keep the small girl calm she kept swaying her.Sounds of distress filled the air coming from the small girl as she registered the cold air. They were going to do big bad. In the big bad place.
The psychologist was not informed of the little tree hut the officers had found and continued to rock the child as she approached the car.The girl was frightened. She was terrified. They were going to do big bad to her. She began to fight the person holding her, trying her best to get free.
Zareya tightened her grip on the girl as she thrashed around and added another scratch on the psychologists face. The scratch was deep and stung the woman causing her to release a sharp breath. The noise alerted the girl to danger and she froze. It was too much for her.
The feel of the rain. The tightness holding her. The weird smell. The cold wind. The bright lights from the car. It was all to much for the young girl who had been locked away for years.
In her frozen state the girl allowed Zareya to settle her head on her shoulder as she ducked into the car. She kept rocking the girl and once the door was shut she moved the girl to cradle her like a baby whilst gently shushing her. The soft music, gentle voice and repetitive movements calmed the girl the tiniest bit as the engine rumbled and the car began to move.
Just as they reached the road that led back to the city siennas grip tightened on the woman's shirt, her face hurried deeper into her chest. Zareya thought the girl was getting riled up again and began to stroke her face softly with the tips of her fingers. This calming movement allowed the child to fall back into a light sleep.
"She's asleep." Zareya spoke softly to the two officers who were in the front of the car.
"Good. That will make this easier. She knows we're out of the house so it won't be awful when she wakes up. Hopefully anyway." Marcus says as he focuses on the road.
Zareya hums in response and continues to brush her fingers back and forth across the little girl's cheek.
