Waking up the next morning with a dead arm, Zareya slowly opened her eyes and studied the sleeping child. Today part three was happening. Medical attention.

In her head that would've been the first thing to happen but hey, what does she know.

She began to slowly sit up when she froze.
She felt cold.
Cold and wet.

In the back of her mind she knew that this was likely to happen. With the child being unable to walk, of course she couldn't use the toilet. Would she even know what a toilet is?

Luckily the bed was free of any urine.
Standing up she goes to the entrance and is again greeted with Tage and Canden.

"Morning," she mumbles still tired "could you please bring in my whole bag of clothes. And is there any chance I could get some sort of diaper for her?"

Walking back into the bathroom she sighs. She knew she was going to have to wipe the girl over again. She did not want a repeat of yesterday so early on. It was not good for the girl. Mentally and physically.

Deciding she would try her luck with a very shallow bath, she starts to run the water.
With the water being just the right temperature she prepares everything that may be needed and leaves the officers with the message of putting the requested items on the chair.

She slowly undresses the little girl and proceeds to lower her into the warm water. The child however had other plans and refused to let go, even whilst still asleep. Knowing what was happening that day, the psychologist did not want to force anything and upset the girl so decided to keep holding her and climb into the tub fully clothed with the girl still asleep on her.

Zareya made sure that the water was not high enough to touch the sore area on the girls stomach. After yesterday and what they had to do today, it was the last thing that was needed.

She made quick work of washing sienna over before she climbed out and wrapped them both up in fluffy towels.

Making her way back into the hospital room Zareya sees everything she asked for laid out in the bed. Just as she lays the girl down to dry her, Sienna lets out a startled cry and tries to get back in the woman's arms.

"You're okay sweet girl, we just need to get you some clothes."
The small girl doesn't understand. All she knows is that the not bad person is going to leave again.
Not finding the energy to sit up she just lays there sobbing whilst chewing on her fingers.

Wanting to be quick, Zareya prepares the diaper that is meant for an older toddler. Even then the diaper was loose on the girl.
The woman then grabs one of her last silk shirts and puts it on the girl who has now calmed down. Embracing the moment of calmness, she quickly takes the opportunity to change out of her wet clothes and into a fresh set. She slowly re approaches the bed making herself known to the child who instantly reaches up from her laying position.

Being in the arms of the not bad person was becoming her favourite place.

As the morning passed and it neared midday Zareya began to get nervous. The girl was about to get medical checks.
While she knew when to stop for the sake of the patient, she wasn't sure these medical professionals did.

Sienna was sitting on the bed with her stuffed animals, just looking at them and examining each curve of material, when doctor waters and two others entered the room.
Noticing their presence Sienna immediately looked to her safe person.

Zareya smiled reassuringly at the little girl from across the room but that wasn't enough for the child. She let out some unhappy whines, making sure to let the woman know that she needed her.

Just as the psychologist reaches the foot of the bed the doors opened again with ms hain entering the room.

"Miss Von Klene, I think you can have a break while we examine her. You have wasted enough of your time in here already." She says pointedly as she approaches the bed.

Sienna whines unhappily again at the sight of the woman. She didn't like her.

"With all due respect ms Hain, it isn't wasting my time if I'm helping a patient, I think you'll do good to remember that." The psychologist snaps back.

"Either way you're not needed for the next few hours so off you go."

At that moment the only thing that kept Zareya from arguing back was the little girl that was desperately trying to get her attention. Any other time and she would have laid into the snarky woman then and there.

Deciding to ignore the other woman in the room Zareya turned to sienna to see what she wanted.

"Excuse me!" April squealed "As the lead social worker on this case I take charge with the decisions surrounding the child. You need to leave this room now. I see that you have already built an attachment with the girl. How unprofessional. You are merely her psychologist, not her spokes person or her carer."

"Whilst you're correct about me being her psychologist you are wrong with everything else. She has formed a level of trust with myself as I have taken the time to introduce myself and allow her to feel comfortable without throwing myself at her. She feels comfortable in my presence, and feeling comfortable after years of trauma is the least we can give her."

"Well I'm glad to know your able to do your job, now you can go write that all up." April says sarcastically.

Rolling her eyes and stepping away from the bed and towards the door Zareya grabs her bag with necessary items.
Before she leaves the room she turns back to the woman and says "may I suggest we check the officers body cams from the house we found her in before you label me as unprofessional."

Aprils face pales as she recalls how she couldn't cover up how she truly felt in that awful house. It was disgusting, anyone else would have done the same.
