**Two Days Later**:

Dean sighed, as he stared out the window and into the dark night, it’s been two days since he betrayed his family and he missed them so damn much, the guilt of lying to them weighing heavy on him. They had spent the last two days coming up with a better plan than the one Cecil had originally come up with. They decided to have Dean go back to Cecil’s old hideout and pretend to look for something that Cecil had forgotten. While he’s there Michael will sense him and the Archangels will come there to talk to him and try to convince him to return home with them. While the Archangels are talking to him, Dean will bluff them, before he leaves. Once he’s gone, they’ll be curious about why he was there and look around. That’s when they’ll find the fake spells that will be hidden, one of them being the spell that will free him of Cecil’s control; which of course, requires the grace of all three Archangels.

Dean didn’t want to do this, didn’t want any more of his family hurt because of him, but he had no choice. The plan was to take place tomorrow morning and Dean was terrified that something would go wrong or worse Cecil would somehow figure out that Dean was betraying him and kill Roman and Seth in retaliation. His thoughts were interrupted by Cecil coming into the room smiling, Dean ignored him and continued looking out the window, not acknowledging him at all.

“Really, Deanie, what’s the matter this time?” Cecil said sighing.

“I told you to stop calling me that, dammit!” Dean replied bitterly, still not looking at him.

“Come now, Dean, this dark brooding Angel thing you’re doing is getting pretty old.” Cecil said sighing again.

“Screw you.” Dean said, his eyes never leaving the window.

“You know, Dean, for an Angel who wants to help me so much, you’re resisting everything I say or do.” Cecil pointed out bitterly.

“Dammit, Cecil, I’m not trying to, okay?” Dean said sighing frustrated, as he ran his hands over his face. “I’m…just tired of having to be the damn pawn in everyone’s fights. Why does it always have to be me, huh?” He added, as he turned to face Cecil.

“I can’t speak on our brother’s behalf, Dean, but as for me, I’m afraid I have no choice, but to use you like this. I wish it were different, I really do, brother, but it’s not. Once I have gained complete power over Heaven and Earth, I’ll make it up to you any way you want, I promise.” Cecil said smiling.

“Look, no offense, Cecil, but you’re talking about fighting an entire army of Angels, who are being led by not one, but three Archangels. How the hell do you expect us to win that battle, huh?” Dean said sighing again.

“Dean, I’m deeply hurt that you don’t have faith in our plan…in me.” Cecil replied disappointed.

“Dammit, Cecil, I’d be a damn fool to not doubt it, we aren’t exactly strong enough to take on regular Angels, let alone three Archangels, dammit.”

“Yet.” Cecil said smiling.

“What?”

“We aren’t strong enough, yet.” Cecil corrected him smugly.

“You really think they’ll fall for your little fake out?” Dean questioned.

“I do, yes, as I’ve said before, you’re their golden boy, Dean, they’ll do whatever it takes to get you back.”

“Even if you are right about that, you’re talking about them giving up their grace for me.” Dean said, as he sat down across from Cecil. “I’m…I’m not that special, Cecil.” He added quietly, as he stared at the table and played with his hands.
