 The afternoon sun shone brightly in the cloudless sky, Dean looked up at it as he sat on the edge of his hospital bed. Birds flew across the vast cloudless sky, chirping in harmony with the sound of buzzing bees coming from a nearby flowerbed. He sighed heavily and ran his good hand over his face; two weeks had passed since he and Randy had woken up after they were shot by that bastard Cena. Roman and Seth were released three days ago, they all still required time to heal and were ordered to rest for another couple of weeks. Randy was sent home yesterday, and Dean was finally being released today. He couldn't wait to get out of this place and return to his own bed.

 Being alone gave him time to think, thoughts of Cena and what could happen weighed heavy on his mind. Even with the evidence stacked against him, with the right lawyer, there was a chance Cena could get off due to insanity. The thought of that possibility filled him with rage and fear at the same time. Being found insane he'd have to go to a mental hospital to serve his time, but it would be easier for him to get out of there than prison. When he was with Seth, Roman and Randy, he played his part of the strong one, knowing that if he was strong then they would be too. When he was alone he couldn't keep up the act and he'd break down. His fears of the unknown were overwhelming. Suddenly, his thoughts were interrupted by the door to his room opening and his father came into the room smiling, pushing a wheelchair.

 "Ready to go, son?" His father asked smiling.

 "Hell yeah." Dean agreed smiling too.

 "Alright, let's get out of here." His father said as he loaded Dean's bags onto the handles of the wheelchair and then helped Dean get off the bed and into the wheelchair.

 Dean lounged on the couch, his crutch leaned against the armrest. The air was still, and he enjoyed the calm that had settled over the house. Suddenly, his father's angry voice broke the silence from his office down the hall. His father was angry, but Dean couldn't make out what he was saying. Curious, he rose from the couch and limped to his father's office door. As he approached, the voices became clearer, it was the Detectives on the phone. Frozen in place, Dean listened silently, his heart pounding in his chest. Listening, he got a bad feeling and needed to know what was going on. Slowly pushing open the door, he saw his father's face twisted with anger as he spoke into the phone. In that moment, their eyes locked and his father told the Detectives he'd call them back and hung up.

 "Dad, what's going on?" Dean asked nervously.

 "It's nothing, son, you should be resting, you're..."

 "Not a damn kid anymore." Dean said annoyed, cutting his father off. "What's going on?"

 "You're right." His father said sighing. "That was Detective Landings, Cena's lawyer is going for the insanity plea."

 "He's what?" Dean asked angrily.

 "Unfortunately, you four boys are going to have to testify against him in court, they have the District Attorney handling the case, but they suggested that each of you boys get your own lawyers just to be safe."

 "Why do we need a lawyer? He did this to us, dammit!" Dean said upset.

 "You need one because Cena's lawyer is going to make Cena the victim and you four need someone protecting you boys from being turned into the bad guys."

 "Do the guys know?" Dean asked.

 "Yes, I'm going to invite them and their parents here to discuss this and figure things out." His father said sighing again as he placed a hand on Dean's shoulder. "I promise you, son, one way or another, Cena will pay for what he's done to all of you."

 An hour later, Dean, Seth, Roman, and Randy were hanging out in Dean's room. Despite the shit circumstances they had found themselves in, they needed to be together. Roman and Randy both sat on the mismatched chairs at either side of the room, while Dean and Seth shared the bed, cuddling close for comfort.
