Roman smiled proudly as he stood with Dean and Seth, watching as the last of the Outcasts were given their retrials and were reinstated as Angels. It's been a week now since Cecil was killed and order was once again returned to Heaven, thanks to Dean and the Archangels. A lot of good has happened in only a week, the rebuilding of Heaven was almost complete, Dean got stronger every day and was reinstated as a Guardian Angel, and thanks to the new Council members, almost every Outcast had been reinstated as an Angel; the ones who weren't were kept as Outcasts but not isolated from the other Angels.
Roman couldn't remember the last time he felt this happy and calm, it was still new to him after everything they'd been through because of that bastard, Cecil. He still had that feeling like something bad was going to happen and ruin their peace and happiness. He felt Dean take his hand, he looked at him but Dean didn't notice, he was watching the trial smiling. Roman smiled too, Dean was okay, he had gotten his revenge and came through everything stronger than he was before...they all were. He was beyond grateful that Dean and Seth were okay, if he had lost either of them he knew he wouldn't have been strong enough to go on without them.
The trial ended and once everyone was gone, the trio went to talk to Xavier, Zachariah, Ava, and Mia. They had only been talking for a few minutes when another Angel came into the room and told Dean that the Archangels wanted to speak to him alone. He agreed and followed the Angel as he led the way to their room. Once they reached it, Dean thanked the Angel and he left, Dean knocked on the closed door and seconds later, Michael called out for him to enter. Going into the room, Dean found all three Archangels sitting at a table together, none of them looked happy and he instantly became worried.
"Did something happen, brothers?" Dean asked nervously.
"No, no, everything is fine." Michael replied. "Please sit and join us, we'd like to talk to you about something."
"That doesn't sound good." Dean said.
He looked at each of them carefully, if nothing was going on then why did all three of them look so...uncomfortable, sorry even. He sat down across from them nervously, he knew something was going on and whatever the hell it was he wasn't going to like it.
"What's going on?" Dean asked.
"How are you feeling, brother?" Raphael asked smiling.
"Good, Zachariah gave me my final checkup this morning and I'm back to 100 percent. You three already knew that though, he told you himself, so why don't you just tell me why I'm really here?" Dean answered.
"You're here because we need to talk to you about Roman and Seth." Gabriel said gently.
"Why?" Dean asked worried. "What's going on?"
"It's nothing serious, Dean, I promise. It's just..."
"Just what?" Dean demanded when Raphael trailed off.
"Dean, they...they don't belong here." Michael said gently.
"What?" Dean asked confused. "I thought you liked them?"
"We do, they're family to us now." Michael assured him.
"Then why don't they belong here?" Dean asked angrily.
"You misunderstand us, brother." Gabriel said sighing. "We mean they don't belong here in Heaven with us right now, they aren't meant to be here."
"Wait, I...I understand Seth isn't meant to be here yet, he isn't an Angel, but Roman is, remember? So, why doesn't he belong here with us?" Dean asked confused.
"Yes, while Roman is technically an Angel, how he became one wasn't meant to be. So, while he is an Angel, how it came to be wasn't supposed to happen that way."
