The sea demon rumages through the Monkey's stuff as he's sparring with Mk, looking at all of the interesting things he has in his home and around the mountain along with the monkeys who totally didn't attempt to attack him
As the Protagonist falls a few feet in front of the sea demon the monkey picks him up "you're getting better way way better!" The monkey says "aww really? " Mk says happy he's showing progress " I mean it does make sense you are getting trained by me! " the monkey boasts "now we just need to work on your focus! "
"Yea I am the best of focu- WHAT DO YOU MEAN WORK ON MY FOCUS!! " Mk complains "I'm like number one focus guy! " the sea demon chuckles at this going back to rummaging through Wukong's stuff "if anyone's the number one focus guy it's me! " the sea demon laughs and the Monkey King and Mk stare at him
"You both kinda suck at focus and that's coming from me!" The demon says still looking through the kings stuff "Sleepy!! You're supposed to be on my side!! " the sea demon laughs again at Mk's
Ignoring Sleepy Monkey King and Nk continue "Your entire legacy is you getting distracted and dodging responsibilities! " Mk exclaims, Wukong ends up next to Sleepy during the small rant
"Mm! That's where you're wrong! " the Monkey says his mouth full of chips "that time you stole all the immortal peaches you where ment to guard? " "that was a long time ago and Sleepy also stole some and caused a entire war by doing it so you can't really blame me! " Monkey King says "Don't push me into this!! " Sleepy grumbles
"When you kept annoying everyone in the celestial realm? " Mk continues "that's a matter of opinion" Monkey King replies "THAT TIME YOU PICKED A FIGHT WITH BUDD-" he gets cut off by monkey King shoving a chip in his mouth "see that's your problem! You stress too much about the negatives! Focus is taking in everything! " He stands up "but honing in only on the one thing that matters! "
"Right now I'm talking to you while noting the speed of the wind, the moisture in the air these thirty seven emails from my lawyer the first eighteen seasons of monkey King the animated series and the fact that I am a immortal being WHO WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DIE, and Sleepy rummaging through my stuff with a bug on him! " hearing this the sea demon begins freaking out moving around to get the bug off him
Mk calmly takes the bug off the demon and said demon sighs in relief "but! I'm paying attention to you! Take in everything choose what you want to do and do it! That is focus. " the Monkey King finishes "that sounds super confusing and like you're constantly distracted" the monkey King cocks a eyebrow "or maybe! You're just not ready for REAL focus! " Mk gasps in offense "I Can totally focus I focus all the time! " he stammers "In fact the next thing I do will be the most focused thing ever! "
"C'mon sleepy! " Mk calls out, the sea demon goes to follow "nu uh! He's staying with me! " The monkey King Interrupts "what." The sea demon and the protege look at the monkey confused , the Monkey King shrugs "you did say that you wanted us to get closer! Plus he might distract you" Mk nods "yea you're right! Sleepy stay here! " the see demon throws himself on the ground in defeat
Mk leaves and Sleepy sits up staring at where Mk once stood and caressing his tail, the Monkey King stares at the sea demon "have you always done that when nervous? " the sea demon looks at him and let's his tail flop onto the grass "developed it as a habit since.. Uh" Wukong nods not knowing what to say.
Messing around for a bit Sleepy finds a wanted poster of... Himself? Appearing on a branch of the peach tree Sleepy holds up the poster "why do you have this? I didn't even know posters of me existed! " the monkey King looks at him amused "you're a well known theif and war criminal it's only natural you have posters and that I have one. I mean you've stolen from both the jade emperor and the jade princesses palaces! How did you even manage that? "
Sleepy shrugs "just kinda did " the monkey King takes a bite of his peach "Yaknow there's entire legends of you I've got some scrolls in my shame temple if you wanna see em" Sleepy nods excited
After reading through the scrolls The both of them just kinda lay there and do nothing "you want some noodles? " Sleepy offers, the monkey King shrugs "Yea sure why not" telling him what he wants sleepy orders the noodles "I think this is the first time I've ever bought something for someone.. Never expected it to be you" Wukong sits up and looks at the sea demon "Really now? Does that mean I'm officially you're favorite person?" Sleepy laughs and sits up as well "you wish monkey prince! Wukong begins laughing alongside the Sea demon
" by the way why do you steal? Like what's your motivation? " the sea demon stares into the Monkey's eyes for a bit "well why not? It's fun plus I get new stuff! " Sleepy smiles showing off his weirdly sharp teeth , the monkey King stares at Sleepy Akin to how Sleepy was staring at him a moment ago "yea but that puts a target on your back no? Wasn't nezha on you're ass for a while? " Sleepy nods "The kid almost got me into imprisonment! Buttt... He's still got a lot of room to improve especially when fighting with someone who has century's of practice over you"
The monkey King blinks "that's has to be the smartest thing I've ever heard from you! " he teases and Sleepy scoffs in fake offense "Well you don't hear from me much do you? Monkey prince! " Monkey King laughs and Sleepy smiles at his reaction.. His tail slightly wagging
Mk runs in breaking the door "Pigsys noodles!! " he exclaims out of breath "Mk finally!! Monkey prince here is a terrible host I had a horrible time!! " Sleepy says dramatically, Wukong pushes him away with his tail playfully "Monkey King!??Sleepy??! " he gasps "This is was all a lesson to see if I could focus!! " Sleepy deadpans "Uhhhh.. Yes! I wanted to teach you a lesson! I totally didn't get Sleepy to buy me three helping of noodles. "
"You where right! I really honestly was terrible at focusing!" The Monkey and demon both tune him out and looks inside the bag "oh dammit! " the sea demon grumbles some more noncoherent things
As Mk finishes The monkey King smiles at him "that's great bud! I'm proud of you! But... This isn't what we ordered" Mk looks devastated "what?! " Sleepy sighs "that was like thirty bucks!" Wukong laughs at the sea demon's misery
Driving home Mk and sleepy talk about what happened with Monkey King "apparently he doesn't know how to read or write so no idea why he has a email.. Or a lawyer that's also real weird" Mk looks at the sea demon in shock "he can't read?! " the sea demon shakes his head "Nope had to read all of the options out for the prince when I was ordering noodles! " "we should teach him! " Mk reccomends "we should get him a phone too! That way the three of us can have a group chat together! " Sleepy smiles "Good idea fanboy!! I'll steal one for him when I get the chance! "
Entering the apartment Sleepy takes off his shoes "Macaque you here? Mk is out with Mei! " The dark monkey comes out of the shadows with a scowl on his face "You smell a lot like wukong. " Sleepy stares at him weirdly while smiling "thats really creepy how and why can you smell me" macaque sits on the couch "don't avoid what I just said sleepy why do you smell so much like him? "
"Was stuck with him all day while Mk went out to practice on his focus.. He didn't mention anything about smelling you on me is that just like a weird thing you can do?? " Macaque pats the cushion next to him and sleepy sits next to him "nah he probably still thinks I'm dead" he turns on the tv "let's keep watching that telenovela "
