There's something that Y/n is not telling me. I know it but what is it. There's so much I still don't know about this girl. Like what her and Shiro were talking about. I tried asking Keith but he wouldn't budge and I'm not about to ask Y/n because that would just create more distance between us. I don't even know her birthday, favorite color, favorite song, favorite food, among other things. I feel like I'm just running in circles around her. Every conversation we have is always the same, "Are you okay?", "How are you?", and "I'm doing great."
I feel like I know nothing about her even though I've known her for about two or three years now form being at the Garrison. I'm walking beside her right now. Our bodies are about a foot away from each other but to be honest, I'm pretty sure that I couldn't even tell you if she's right handed or left handed. It makes me want to pull my hair out from not knowing enough about her.
One day I wish to now every little thing about her. From the way she talks, walks, sleeps and even how she likes her food cooked. Hell, I'm willing to cook for this girl. Not even that, I want to marry her one day. I just hope she feels the same way about me. Does she even like me?
Our group has been walking through the desert for at least a solid twenty minutes now and my legs are starting to ache. "Are we there yet?" I wined. "Uh...N-Yes. Yes, we're here." Hunk said, sounding a little too hesitant for my liking. I looked to my side to see if Y/n was still next to me. She wasn't and I began to panic. I looked everywhere, only to find her three feet in front of everyone else. At this point she was walking into the cave all by herself. I felt nervous. I wanted to protect her but I couldn't. In fact I am sure that she could take care of herself if she really wanted to and it would only annoy her if I even tried to protect her.
"We're here." Was all I heard Y/n say before my hands grazed the cave walls. I jumped back as I noticed that the markings had begun to glow blue. Was that my fault? My eyes widened as the ground beneath us all gave out. Then I was falling through the floor. Where was Y/n? Is she okay? I hope she's okay.
I swear that it felt like I was falling for like ten minutes or something until I landed in what looked like a small underground pond. The water was glowing the same blue color as the marking on the walls which kinda freaked me out a bit not going to lie. I felt my head go under. I swallowed some. I tasted like dirt and something else that I couldn't make out. I forced my head up then went into a coughing fit. "Y/n?" I called out but there was no reply. Where the hell is she? Is she okay?
I stumbled up from the water. I could see Keith, Shiro, Pidge, Hunk behind me, but where was she. I looked all around the cave before finally turning around. A giant blue robot lion was looking down upon me and as for Y/n. Well she had already made her way out of the water and to the lion but still, why didn't she answer or wait for the rest of the group?
I shook off all of my thoughts as I walked up to the thing. I stood next to Y/n. I turned my head to look at her. I could tell that she was in some sort of daze by the way her eyes looked. What was she thinking? Just as I was about to look back at the robot thing. I saw something. It was like this big robot dude thing with a sward. The vision ended just as soon as it began and once I looked around again I was back in the cave next to the girl that I'm crushing on.
"Did everyone else just see that?" I asked looking back at the group. They all nodded their heads, yes. Which made me believe that I wasn't losing my mind. "What is this thing?" Keith asks. I kept my mouth shut because the things I wanted to say would make Y/n think less of me. "It has to be Voltron... This is what they're looking for." Shiro said. There was some type of force field around the thing that everyone was touching for some reason, well everyone except for me.
I lifted my hand as pressed the palm of my hand against the field that surrounded the robot. I was only touching it for a second before it completely faded away. The robot lion began to move and as it moved it caused the ground beneath us all to shake. Then as the lion roared for a spit second I turned to look at Y/n. She had a stone face and looked as if this was normal. Is this normal?
As the lion finished it's roar, it's head began to move closer and closer to the ground. In an instant I stood protectively in front of Y/n. I didn't know what this thing was capable of and I wasn't about to let her get hurt. Not here, not now.
