(Chapter thirteen)

-Lance-

I jolt up as alarms sound. "Crap I fell asleep in Y/n's room!" I yelled running out of the room but somewhere in between running out of the door and running through the hall I hit the wall. It just gonna be a crap day isn't it?

The alarms stopped just as I walked through the control room doors. "Oh no Allura melting! What is that your saying?" I rolled my eyes as soon as I saw Coran on the floor being all dramatic. "Coran." He didn't answer. "Coran!" Allura yelled again. Coran went back to his feet and straightened his posture. "Uuurhhh... Sorry got a bit carried away there." Coran said.

"We were testing the Castle's alarms systems and decided to test you. Shiro and Y/n are the only two that I consider to be passing the test but the other four of you have all failed... You are all expected to be the defenders of the universe but yet you can't even pass a simple test." Allura lectured.

We didn't ask to be the defenders of the universe. All of us were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and ended up here.

"Allura please just be patient with all of us. Mostly all of us other then Shiro have never even been in space until now and we didn't even know what Voltron was until yesterday." Y/n pointed out.

God I'm so in love with that girl. I should've been their when she woke up though and not have fallen asleep. "Thank you Y/n. So like a few nights ago we were just cadets at the Garrision, then the whole ship crash thing, then we went on a whole adventure into space. Met some scary aliens but also met some cool chill aliens. Defeated the Galra and yeah. It's a lot." Hunk ranted.

To be honest he was probably the only one taking this whole being in space thing the worse. Dude has thrown up too many times to even count. "I know but this is something we are all making great sacrifices. The universe is counting on us making sacrifices to bring peace to this war." Allura really wasn't easing up on us about this.

"We have a training deck on board you could go spend a few hours trying to form Voltron then come back to train. While I help Coran and Allura with testing the castles systems." Y/n said. "That sounds like a plan then. Everyone let's go!" Shiro shouted.

We trained for what felt like hours but had no success with forming Voltron. And when I mean hours I mean it felt like entire life times. Soon after about the fourth hour though we all found our ways back inside the castle.

"Hey guys! How was forming Voltron?" Y/n asked looking up from the book she had in her hands. I crawled onto the couch and wrapped my arms around her waist and just laid on her legs. "It was that bad?" She asked laughing a bit at my misery.

I hummed in response and closed my eyes. It was awful. First of all it didn't have Y/n, second of it felt like me and Keith were just arguing and getting nowhere, and finally I don't think I can stand listening to Pidges voice for long periods of time. Which is weird because I thing Pidge is a generally pretty cool guy.

"What have you been up to?" I asked. She smiled. "I've been trying to learn different langues and learning about all of the different alien civilizations." She answered. "That's nice." I said back. But in all reality I was thinking that I could start to get used to her and me being this close and maybe even closer later on.

"Hello Paladins, I'm assuming you have  all formed Voltron and that is why you are back this early." Allura said. I rolled my eyes. Why does she have to be so persistent? "Yeah no totally formed Voltron... Then you know magically defeated Zarkon already." Hunk said sarcastically.

"Well since you didn't form Voltron on your own. Me and Coran are thinking of giving you all a little push. We have teamwork bonding exercises you will all be part taking in." Allura said clapping her hands together. "Oh great. Team work." I said sarcastically, then following behind the rest of the group.
