Just your average love story...But in Space.

I stood outside of the little wooden shack. The sun was just beginning to rise and I had Y/n by my side. I can't remember when she laid her head on my shoulder but what I do remember is feeling like my heart was going to explode out of my chest. The sky was a shade of orange that faded into colors of pink and blue. There was also a light mist that clouded the desert valley below.
"It's beautiful... almost looks unreal." Y/n's voice pulls me from my thoughts. I look down at her face and see a smile appear. Her eyes sparkling and her hair framing her face perfectly. I hope that one day we can be more than just friends.
"Guys!" Both me and Y/n quickly turn our heads to look at Pidge. "Shiro's up!" He yells. I turn to look at Y/n again, I can't make out what emotions she's feeling from just looking at her face. I knew that she hung out with Shiro a bit before he went missing but I didn't think it was to the point that she actually had an emotionally attachment to him or something like that.
"We should go." She says. Her voice sends shivers down my spine. I've never heard her sound so cold before. Her head is turned towards the ground and I can tell that she needs her own space right now. I should leave. I would just make things worse like I always do. So we both get up from out position on the ground and walk back to the wooden shack. The door creaks as it opens. I wince at how loud it is and how quiet it was before it opened.
Y/n stood beside me but it didn't even feel like she was really there. Physically she was but mentally... That was a different story.
It makes me wonder what she's going through. "I'd like to thank you all for saving me." Shiro begins to say. During this time I notice that he's abnormally tall. Like the type of tall that would make any other guy jealous even if they were over six foot. He also had white bangs accompanied by mostly raven hair. Then that's when I take in the fact that his human arm was replaced by a cyborg prosthetic one .
He wasn't missing an arm before he left Earth. What happened up there? "No problem. I'm Pidge by the way and the big guy is Hunk." In this moment I feel kinda out of place in a way. Why? I have no reason to feel this way. " You must be Lance." Shiro says making me turn all of my attention towards him. "Yeah. It's good to meet you." I say trying to hide the fact that I was beyond nervous.
Shiro extends his arm. I look at it for a good minute. I shake it and turn my gaze back on his eyes. "Y/n?" Shiro says, sounding almost like a question. I let go of his hand and turn to face Y/n. At this point she's not looking at any of us, her gaze is on the window. Is she thinking about running for it? Why would she? Why was that the first thing that came to my mind? Do I want to make a run for it?
"We should talk outside alone." Her voice is soft yet stern. What happen between the two of them? Should I be concerned? I turn to look at everyone else in the room to try and see if anyone else is as interested in what they're going to be talking about. Keith is looking down at the ground and I think I can almost see sweat on his forehead. Maybe he's nervous or something. What is he nervous about. Hunk is- well he's going through Pidge's bag. Then Pidge is standing there wide eyed and looking back and forth between Shiro and Y/n. He seems just as clueless as me.
Keith definitely knows something that I don't. I can tell. Later I will make sure to bug him about it after Y/n and Shiro leave. Then the rest of us are just here. We probably shouldn't be here but we are.
Y/n walks out the door and Shiro hesitantly follows. Poor guy. Anyway, it's time to bug Keith until he spills the beans about what they're talking about.
