-Y/n-

I didn't want to stay behind.

I should be out there fighting and actually doing something useful. I looked to Lance. He had that look on his face where I could clearly tell that he wasn't sure about this whole thing. I looked away quickly and take in the awkward silence between us. It was like the calm before a storm and Lance was going to be in the middle of it.

"Promise me." I said looking out the window outside the lion's hanger. "Promise me you won't do anything reckless. You know I... Never mind." Lance turned to look at me and as I felt him take my hand into his, I couldn't help but realize how much I had fallen for this boy standing before me. "Y/n we both know reckless is my middle name. I can't ignore it at this point. Heck it brought us here." He chuckled with a soft grin.

"When you get back we should hang out sometime." I said swaying ever so slightly. I felt as if I was a little girl again with a playground crush. How can this one boy make me feel so free?

"That sounds like something I'd love to do the second I get back. I promise you."

"I guess you should hurry back then huh? Blue paladin." I laughed and watched his eyes light up. "See you when I get back!" He shouted as he ran to his lion. That boy. I smiled walking away from the hanger. Then rushing back to Allura and Coran.

"Ah Y/n! Thank you for joining us." Coran said just before turning back to the screen in front of him. "Do you really think they can all pull this whole thing off?" I asked looking towards the two. "They are the paladins of Voltron. If they can't do this then nobody can." Allura said with furrowed brows. I hope she's right.

"How are they doing Princess?" I asked looking up from where I was sitting. "Good so far. They're on the galran ship now and Lance and Hunk are about to give the Galra a distraction." Allura announced sounding hopeful.

"Hey, I'll be right back!" I shouted as I left the controls room and began my long journey through the halls. My head pounding more with each step I took. My vision going blurry. Then it wasn't. I looked around and noticed that I didn't seem to be in the castle halls anymore. In fact I was in the blue lion and watched from the back as it avoided fire from Galran cruisers.

My head began to hurt once more and my vision blurring again. This time I was on the Galran ship and standing in front of the red lion. Watching as Keith struggles to gain it's trust. Then the cycle repeated.

This time though I was back where I had begun in the castle hall. Jeez I need to start getting better sleep. I think I'm starting to lose it. I keep walking through the halls. Maybe Pidge will have something to help with my headache.

Then again I probably shouldn't go through his things. I really don't think I should fall asleep though. What if they all need me? I doubt they will though and a small nap will be for the best. I wondered the halls for a few minutes more before finding my room and crashing onto the bed.

I felt as if I hadn't fallen asleep at all though. In fact it felt like I was on another Galran ship only this time it felt like someone could see me there. I began to walk through the halls of the ship. There wasn't much to see and I still had that feeling of someone watching me but how would I get back?

"My dear child... You know you don't belong here now." A voice said but I couldn't exactly put my finger on who it was. "Please I'm sorry. I didn't mean to and I don't know how to get back!" I shouted trying to find where the voice was coming from. "Don't come back again!" The voice yelled.

I looked around once more holding my head in agony. I was back in the castle in my room. I stumble up from my bed. I need to make it to the door. Everything felt as though it was shaking. Then once I was out in the hallway I felt as my body fell forward onto the wall and finally fall to the floor.

I was left out cold.
