(Chapter eight)

Something caught my eye and as I looked back at the group and the lit hallway. I choose the hallway thinking that I could go off for a minute or two before returning to the group. Soon after going through the hall and trying to meet back with everyone else I realize that I was all alone. "Lance!" I called out as I turned a corner and began running down a dark dimly lit hall. My head pounding more and more as my feet hit the ground. My vision blurred and I rubbed my eyes to try and regain sight of what stood in front of me.

I closed my eyes shut tight and opened then to find that the hall lights were now on. My breathing became steady once more. I began walking steadily down the hallway passing many rooms. My vision blurred once more and instead of rubbing my eyes I closed them only to find that the hallways lights were off once more.

Weird. They were just on a minute ago. I continued down the hall then turning left. I felt myself run into someone or something. Just before I could realize who or what it was I felt a pair of arms grab a hold of me. "Y/n." I knew that voice, it was Keith. "What the- Keith! You scared me." I said pushing his arms away from me.

"I scared you! Oh please, Y/n you ran off from the group in an unfamiliar place on an unfamiliar planet!" Keith said raising his voice and pinching the bridge of his nose. He can't say anything though because he was the one who ran off first. "I really don't feel like arguing with you about this Keith." I could tell he wasn't too pleased with what I said but still.

"Okay then. Go straight then take a right. That should lead you to the rest of the group." Keith explained not looking at me as he talked. "Where are you going?" I asked. "I'm going to find my room." He said making me raise an eye brow. "Your room?" There is no way we are staying here.

"Yes my room! Now leave me alone." He said then stomping away. He has no reason to be mad. In fact I have more reason to be mad then he does. First he leaves me lonely at the Garrison back on Earth after Shiro's disappearance. Then when I finally get my life back together he barges back into my life along with Shiro. Then now he has the audacity to yell at me.

I began to walk straight then take a right down the hall. Then I am met by Lance hugging me. "Oh Y/n where were you?" He asked squeezing me tighter and tighter. "I just wanted to look around the place by myself for a bit that's all." I answered but I really didn't mean to wonder off on my own. I then tried my best to look up over Lance's shoulder and noticed two people with pointy ears.

"Who are they?" I asked pointing to the two people. "Oh them. The girl is Princess Allura then the guy next to her is Coran. They kinda own the castle and the lions." Lance explained but not to the point where I understood. I just nodded trying my best to act like I knew.

"Y/n!" Shiro shouted. "Yes." I said walking over to him. "This is Allura and she'll explain things a lot better then Lance." Shiro's kinda mean now that he's back. "It's good to meet you." I said with a smile. "It's good to meet you too. You must be Y/n, I am Princess Allura of Altea. I'm sure you've heard stories of the Galra from Shiro but mine's a little different. You see the Galra had destroyed my home planet and my father King Alfor saved me and Coran by putting us in healing pods. After quite a long time you guys came along and freed us both after you had found one of the five lions that make up Voltron." The princess explained giving me much more details about the situation that I had found myself in.

"So I'm assuming that you want us to help find the other lions then to pilot the lions to help you put an end to the destruction that the Galra have done and continue to do." I said placing a hand on my hip. "That is correct." Coran said looking up from what he was working on. "Okay then, where do we begin and what do you need me to do?" I asked preparing myself mentally for her answer.
