Thomas's POV
I had to push her into my office by a chair, like she was a fucking child. She ignored me and disrespected me. Then when she sat in that chair in front of me flaunting what she had, it sent fire to me.
I was pissed she went to bed with Arthur, I was pissed she was going to be a part of my life. She annoyed me, teased me and I wanted to rip her apart.
She never flinched when I slammed the door, even my brothers flinch. Was she a part of her fathers business? More than she was leading on? Did she have brothers who were like me? I needed to figure out these questions, I needed answers.
I was going to ask her to go to the Garrison with me alone, but she just kept pushing at me. I yelled at her to leave, watching her stand up and walk out catching her breath. She had a hint of fright when she left. Maybe I could scare her?
Y/n's POV
I walked back to the kitchen and everyone just looked at me with a blank face. I grabbed my glass and took the last swig. "Alright Ada, I am going back home to freshen up." I sat the glass down, turning around walking through the house. I heard someone following me. It was John.
"I'll come with," he said, grabbing his coat and hat. I smiled at him and shook my head. "See you lads later," he looked back at Michael and Arthur with a smirk. We walked back to Ada's place. John kept asking me questions about what Thomas had said.
I kept telling him only about my family and what they do. He could tell I was a little irritated by how his brother had treated me as a guest in their home. "Oi-I have an idea, why don't you come to the races with us tomorrow?" he said.
"I would love to John," we continued to walk and finally arrived. I took out my key and unlocked the door. I told John to wait downstairs as I got ready.
I ran upstairs and grabbed some clothes. I took out another one of my pantsuits. It was another black one with a pearly neckline. I put it on and did my hair. I walked back downstairs and watched as John's jaws physically dropped open.
"Bloody hell Y/n you look amazing." He said, reaching for my hand.
"You Shelby boys are too sweet aren't you?" I asked, grabbing his hand. We left the house and headed back to where we came from. We had finally arrived and no one was there. "John, where did everyone go?" I asked while walking around.
"Probably the Garrison," He said, packing some stuff. "We will go after I'm done." He said pacing back and forth. I sat and sipped some tea waiting for him to finally be done with whatever he was doing.
"Let's go," he said, grabbing his coat and hat. We walked to the Garrison and John opened the door for me. I stopped in front of it waiting for him to walk inside. He walked towards the private room and I followed. "Oi-lads look who it is." John said pointing at me. I looked around the room, no Ada or Polly.
"Where is Ada and Polly?" I asked, sitting down grabbing an empty glass from Arthur's hand.
"Doing lady stuff." Another voice rang from the opposite side of the table. It was Thomas looking annoyed.
"I'm surprised I'm allowed in here after this morning Thomas Shelby." I said pouring whisky into my glass.
"Then leave if you're going to act like a child because I didn't fall to your feet." He said, sitting his glass down. Waiting for me to leave I just sat there looking at him.
"Not in the mood for jokes this afternoon?" I laughed while everyone else kept quiet. "I'm not here to argue with you or in your words act as a child, I am here for Michael, John, and Arthur." I said, sitting the whisky down. Thomas said nothing, lighting a cigarette.
"Y/n you look extra hot today, in your pantsuit," Arthur said, grabbing my waist and scooting me towards him.
"Oh Arthur," I said, "What am I going to do with you?" I said, squeezing his face and unwrapping his arm from my waist. "John, what time are we leaving tomorrow?" I asked him.
Thomas's POV
"John's not going anywhere tomorrow except for the races." I spat.
She looked at me like she was not listening. She always called me Thomas Shelby, never just Thomas. Arthur grabbed her waist, making my eyes widen. I looked down, grabbing a cigarette.
"Exactly, what time are we leaving for the races John? Not Thomas Shelby." she asked, still facing John.
"We leave at noon." Michael said, sitting across from her. "I'm not John, but I know John wouldn't answer in front of Thomas," He said, not looking at my face seeing the hatred in my eyes.
"Perfect," I said, reaching for another glass of whisky.
"You're not going." I spat once again.
"You're not my boss." She said, crossing her legs glaring at me.
"I am their boss." I said, giving her the same glare.
"I don't care," She said, not breaking eye contact.
"Acting out as a child once more huh?" I said in a low tone lighting another cigarette.
"Then it's settled, I will see you boys tomorrow." She said getting up and walking out of the pub back to Adas.
Y/n's POV
I fell asleep early that night, excited I was finally doing something other than drinking at a pub in Small Heath. If my father knew how much drinking I was doing he would be furious. My father didn't mind women being in a pub, dancing with their husbands, or drinking small amounts of drinks, but when it came to his daughter he didn't want her doing any of the sorts.
Y/n knew the story of how her parents were forced to marry at such a young age. They weren't in love at the beginning but with a little push from their families they ended up promising each other a lifetime of happiness by their own terms.
The sun finally rose and I hopped out of bed. I laid out a beautiful dress that went below my knees. I knew I was going to be seen by some of the best horse owners so I had to dress elegantly.
My father had his own business but he stayed in London. He knew some people that would be racing today just in case I ran into them, they would relay the message back to him that I was a proper lady.
I picked the emerald green dress, the dress tightened on my body and shaped my curves. I did my hair and wore a nude lipstick. I put on my nude heels to match with my lip shade. I turned off my light and headed down stairs. "Morning Ada," I said with a smile.
"Where are you off to?" She said, raising an eyebrow.
"The races, with the boys." I said, giving her the same look. I grabbed a cup and poured myself some tea. I downed it in one swig and put the cup in the sink. "I'll see you later Ada," I walked out the door and hopped in my car.
I pulled up to the house I had been in yesterday having the worst meeting with Thomas. He was so mean and cold, I didn't understand what I did to him.
He seemed to intimidate all of the other brothers, but you didn't understand, why? I parked my car and jumped out. I walked for the door and John popped out.
