Ada's POV
I got back home, from shopping with Aunt Pol. I walked upstairs putting Karl in his room. I headed to my room sitting on my bed. I saw that Y/n's door was open and I walked towards her room.
Everything was gone, I checked in the closet and all of her clothes were gone. I walked downstairs and opened the curtain. Her car was still parked across the street. I went back upstairs and walked in my room again.
I looked over at my bedside table and saw three letters. I walked over and grabbed them. One was adressed to me and then Arthur, and then Thomas. I ripped open the envelope and read the note.
Dear Ada,
I am sorry to not tell you this in person, but I am leaving. My mother has passed away, I don't know how long I will be gone but don't expect me to return anytime soon. Thank you for letting me stay with you and being able to call your place my home as well. I am so glad I moved in with you, I never would've met my sister. Your family has been very lovely to me, inviting me to the races and treating me as if I am one of theirs. Please tell John and Michael I wish them well and goodluck on their marriage. Tell Polly I will have to send her more fabrics and that I will miss her witty personality.
Goodbye Ada, my best friend.
Please give Arthur and Thomas their letters.
I sat back on my bed and started crying, Y/n and I grew apart because my brothers would always steal her from me but I didn't want her to leave. I read the letter over and over. I didn't blame her for going, her mother had just passed. She needed to be with her own family.
I walked back into Karl's room and grabbed him out of his bed. I grabbed the other two letters and headed to the Shelby Company Limited. Fighting back more tears as I was thinking of never seeing her again. I wanted to know what she had wrote to Arthur and Thomas.
I finally got there and walked in, everyone was sitting at the table drinking and chatting. I put Karl on Aunt Pol's lap and opened the letter.
"Oi-whats that Ada?" Arthur asked, pointing at the letters in my hand.
"Ada, you were just here, miss us already eh?" Aunt Pol asked, giggling as she sipped her whisky.
"Enough," I said, "Sit down and shut up this is important," I open the letter and read it to them. John and Michaels jaws dropped and Aunt Pol was in shock. Arthur stood up and walked away. He grabbed his coat and headed for the door.
"She's not there Arthur, she left you wont be able to find her," I said, while tears fell down my face. I could tell he was hurt, I could tell they were all hurt. "It's not her fault she left without saying goodbye, her mother just passed."
"I just let her run off, I didn't follow her Ada." Arthur said, his voice getting louder and louder with each word he cried out. "Thomas scared her away and I let her go," he punched the wall and looked back with tears in his eyes.
I'd never seen my older brother so heart broken. I walked over to him holding the letter Y/n wrote to him. "Read it Arthur, I bet there is more of an explanation," I said, as he grabbed the letter from my hands. He put it in his pocket and walked into his office.
"Now wheres Thomas?" I asked still holding his letter.
"At the Garrison," John spat, staring at the letter I had just read them. I grabbed my coat and walked out heading to the Garrison.
I walked in and headed straight for the private room. I opened the door and saw Thomas kissing another woman. I cleared my throat and walked over to him.
