Bailey's pov
I hated seeing Belle like this. It was only been three years but I still remembered what she looked like when she cried. I knew the answer I gave her would eat her up inside.
"..yes.. but it's failed a few times..once after I actually gave birth..he immediately took my daughter from me and keeps her upstairs.. away from me... her names Brenda. I also have a son named Brevyn.."
I could see how hurt she was on the inside. She was happy to be an aunt but not so soon-never this soon.
"How has he gotten away with this?.." Belle stuttered.
"Hun I don't know. He must have been doing this for years. I mean look at all this furniture" I gestured, showing her all the cabinets, beds, tables, etc. "but by the look of everything down here, this looks like this stuff is from the '70s, so either he's had this stuff since it came out as new back then, or he must have bought this stuff somewhere like a yard sale".
She didn't seem too pleased with the place at all. She just walked over to a kitchen set of chairs and tables and sat down. She cupped her hands and hid her face in it. I could hear little sobs coming from her and couldn't bear it any longer.
"Isabelle, I know this is a lot to handle right now but I've been figuring things out for the past three years and I've been coming up with a way on how to get out of here but I need to make sure things are planned out. Arnold is and can be dangerous-he has murdered quite a few people while I was here. he won't hesitate".
I sat down with her and held her hand tight. I rubbed her hand with my thumbs, hoping to get her to relax. I hated seeing her like this. I would do anything to get her back home-back safe and sound with Garry and Nicholas. I don't want her to go through what I've been through these past three years. I wanted her to curl up next to Garry and cuddle with him, be that straight-A student she once was, always being smart about everything she could. I'd give up my life for that little girl I once knew to come back, to see a real smile come on her face for once.
It had been almost over two hours and Isabelle hadn't said a word to me, she'd either nod her head or shake for any response, she wouldn't even shrug her shoulders to me. She even sat in the same chair to the whole time. She wasn't going to move. She was going to stay in the chair till hell froze over. So I got up, went over to the kitchen and started to make dinner like I usually did. Belle was watching what I was doing but didn't bother asking what it was for. Arnold always has dinner down here with me. He wanted a family and treated me like one. He supplied me with clothing, cleaning supplies, food, new bedsheets when the old ones wore out. He wanted me to feel welcome in his basement but I wasn't, I was trapped into another in which was his fantasy he believed in to be real. He had his idea of his own family, and if he couldn't make one-he'd take us.
