Chapter 23

Bailey's pov

I had the girls all ready to go. Their stuff was packed, we had our phones and were about to make it out once and for all. "You guys ready to leave 'Hell' once and for all?", they all nodded yes. So I took a knife and jammed the lock and alarm so it wouldn't let Arnold know too. I then had a knife grappling hook and swung it out; it had indeed though caught a tree, and we climbed out one by one, and we were almost home free. "We did it guys, we did it! We're home free!" Jasmine shouted. We had gathered all of our stuff up in bags we had with them and pulled our phones out. As we started walking away, I heard footsteps coming closer to us, and closer but I didn't pay much attention, I knew I had to get the kids tho so we moved to the side of the house and made sure the coast was clear to cut the power off. As soon it was, we turned our phone flashlights on and broke into the house, I ran upstairs with Belle to grabbed Bervyn and Brenda. "I hear someone coming guys! Hurry it up!" Jessica called from the bottom of the stairs. I hurried as fast as I could, I grabbed their diaper bags with there stuff packed and got out of there into the woods. "Does anyone have a signal?" I asked, Jasmine, raised her hand, "stay right there, I'm gonna find some mail with his address, Jessica is anyone still coming?" She shook her head, so I still hurried a little, after 5 minutes of hustling and bustling, I found some, "dial 911 now, the address is 2719 NE maple road, same state, and city". She dialed and got some in its on there way here finally, she told them we'd be in the woods in case he'd come back. So we ran out into the woods and waited. Waited. It was cold, and quiet. Too quiet. I gave Brevyn to Belle and had Brenda hold Belle's hand. I walked a few inches till I saw someone. "Who's out there?" A voice called out. "Over here!" We all called out. As the figure got closer, we saw it was Arnold! He got home early!
