Bailey's pov
"Why was he home so early? Did the company tell him his power was off? Was it cause we broke in and got the kids and didn't jam the alarm?" I thought.
"What the hell do you guys think you're doing out here!? You're never supposed to leave! You're my property remember!?".
We started running around the woods, trying to hide away, it was too cold though but I didn't want the kids to freeze. I took Brenda and Brevyn and run holding them, cause if I were to die, I'd want them to see what their father is really like. "Come out you little bitches! When I get a hold of you, you're gonna really get it!" He yelled.
"Honey you gotta not talk or cry, okay? Daddy isn't him, he doesn't want me to go home to my family but I have to, okay?" I asked, she nodded her head, and covered her mouth.
We eventually found an old log to hide in. I covered the kids up and made sure they were quite like a mouse. "Mommy?" Brenda whispered, "yes baby girl?" I answered.
"What is your family like? They're not mean like daddy, are they?"
"No Hunny, they're nice and loving, I have a brother back home too, your uncle Nick. You'd love him"
I could tell she was smiling cause she snuggled herself into my neck. I heard footsteps approaching with a flashlight, but I didn't move. "Come out, come out wherever you are, if you don't I'll gut you all like pigs." Arnold proclaimed.
"Was that a threat or confession?" A voice yelled. Lights all around appeared. Police came from all around, from the lights above and hidden in the trees. I heard Arnold then go down, struggling to get up, I think they got him so we all came out and huddled together. "Are you all okay?" One female cop asked. We nodded. "Who would've known it was Arnold the whole time? I'm surprised, but I'm thankful you're all alright" she said. Another walked over. "This is detective Brandon Simons, he'll take you to our station, he'll call your families and let them known you're all safe, just follow him".
So he led us to his car and drove us away. It was a pretty long drive to the station. Lots of trees and lights. "It's amazing how Arnold did it," Brandon said, "he was only a few miles away from where you all live, I'm surprised your family didn't come upon it at all".
We all looked at each other funny, why would he live so close to the houses with us in his basement?
About 20 or so minutes and we got to the station, Brandon had us wait in a conference room till he called our families, first Jasmine and Jessica, considering their family helped them find us. When their parents came in, they hugged us too. Told us how brave we were etc. Then they left. Now we wait for our family to come. 10 minutes, no show. 20 minutes. No show. 30 maybe? Nope. We just sat there and played with the kids, until about 70 minutes later, a women's voice called out, "Belle? Bailey?"
They finally came! Mom, Dad, Nick, even Garry showed up too! Oh god, how good it was to see them finally!
