A/N: I changed Pearl to Ravenclaw- please don't mind! Also... Bdubs and Pearl are twins? Please- the genetics just look correct, brown and blonde hair. Bdubs and Pearl like father, Mumbo like mother. Also, the father has one hazel and one blue eye- there's the different eye colors explained.

Grian's POV

The six of them walked- no, ran down the stairs, trying to find the cafeteria, as Gem walked behind them. They had to be there by at least 7 o'clock, and they wanted to make a good impression. As Grian ran, he pulled up his sleeve to check the watch on his left hand. 6:43.

Honestly, it felt like they were going in circles. I mean- they haven't, but the school was so large it started to feel like it. He looked down the edge, and as he ran the floor kept getting closer. Closer... and closer... He felt his hair flying up, as he felt a strong breeze of wind come up to his face and under his robes. The faint sound of Gem yelling can be heard in the background.

"Grian... Look... Turn back... Catch... Help..."

He was falling.

Grian looked down at the dark oak floor that kept getting closer to his feet, waiting for the impact to happen.  He waited.. and waited. The floor kept getting closer and closer. You could hear his friend's faint voice.

"Stop... Hurry... Catch... Students... Sorting... Help..."

He recognized it as Gem's voice still, as he heard many footsteps running. He looked down again at the dark oak floor, now able to see the herringbone pattern engraved onto it. Grian looked up, his vision slightly blurry, recognizing Scar and Etho running down the stairs hastily, dragging a tired Mumbo along with them. He spotted Fwhip, who had been running ahead of them as Gem was still high up on one of the platforms, yelling for help. Grian looked down, spotting multiple students running below him, but they weren't close enough to be able to catch him in time.

So... this is the end...

Grian kept waiting to feel the impact, as he said his goodbyes in his head. Then, he fainted.

"Wingardium Leviosa!"

Am I... dead?

Grian had to rub his eyes, noticing he was floating down now as if he were as light as a feather. There was some sort of purple aura that lit up around him a bit. He looked around, his sight now much clearer from rubbing his eyes. He looked around, the room lit up by sunlight from the huge ceiling window, stained to resemble Xelqua.

A girl, with brown hair, and blonde bangs. Her blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight. She wore a robe engraved with blue and silver, holding what seemed to be a black walnut wand. She had a determined look attached to her face. She sighed with relief once Grian's feet touched the dark herringbone floor once again.

Gem and the others had made it down safely, unlike Grian. They were sweating and panting, leaning towards the floor as Fwhip flopped himself down to rest. It took Grian a while to realize what had happened, for it was too shocking for him.

His friends rushed to his aid, comforting him as he was confused. It took him a while to notice, but once he did, he gave his thanks to the girl. The girl introduced herself as Pearl E. Moon. She said she was in her 2nd year and that she can help him in anyway she can. She ALSO introduced herself as Mumbo's older sister and Bdubs twin.

"That's all your siblings... right?" Grian was so confused- that was a bit unexpected.

"Yea, don't worry about it." Pearl responded, with a huge ecstatic smile on her face.

They headed to the cafeteria, as Gem literally scolded the boys for letting that happen. They soon reached the huge area, as four long tables took up the space. Floating candles of all colors illuminated the room like stars, as the ceiling looked like the midnight sky, Grian walked as he stared at the room in awe. They all sat down, all five of them, as the Headmaster Xisuma Void spoke.
