(Narrative POV)
You woke up to your beloved ginger boy snoring loudly, his hitched breathing while he snored annoyed you badly. Though, you personally didn't care.
His ginger hair frolicked over his eyes, following the morning wind that blew into your inn.
It seemed so peaceful living in Liyue, it felt like you ran to another reality and that everything was far easier to control.
"Morning Comrade" His hoarse voice ringing in your ears as he sneakily wraps his arms around your waist. Resting his head on your shoulder, he peppers it with kisses.
You giggle and he smiles, trying to compose himself as he checks you out up and down. Burying his face under your chin, he sighs contently.
"So... does this make us friends?"
"Uh.. maybe?"
"But Comrade! We aren't doing 'friendly' things!"
"But... we are friends as of now"
"You call THIS friendly doing?!"
"Yea...?"
"Hmmph."
Childe huffs, letting go of the hug and getting off the bed. He took his harbinger uniform you had cleaned for him the other night and changed into it.
He wasn't shy to show you his body.
His toned and bare chest was covered in battle scars, old stitches and fresh wounds that you patched up with animal bandages. It looked silly, but his ethereal build gave it away.
His biceps were buffed, arms thick. Filled with muscle. His veins trailing down from his arms to his hands.
Everything about him was perfect, flawless even.
As you were dozing off, you noticed the amount of accessories he had to put on. Which included an earring, mask, his vision and his wallet sliding right into his front pocket.
He wore a harness below his jacket, though it looked tight due to how meaty and muscly his chest was.
He took one glance at you and tackled you onto the bed, absolutely crushing you underneath him. He hugged you so tight, a seemingly odd sign that he had been abandoned once before.
"Don't leave, okay? I've got a mission to complete. Though! you could come along.. You should use this opportunity to train your geo vision that Mr Zhongli handed you" Childe says, his tone thickening when it came to Zhongli's name, eager to emphasize it better.
You gave him a light nod before going to clean up and changing into your vision-wielder outfit, while waiting for you he read a book regarding swordsmanship with a geo vision. He was enthusiastic about helping you use it.
After putting on your outfit, you picked up your book. Making Childe stare at you in disbelief.
"You use a catalyst?! Do you not know how hard it is to master it?? How could you pick it up in one go and call it a day??" His blue eyes watching your every movement as you quietly packed your bag. It didn't bother you because it didn't seem that hard to manipulate elemental energy through a catalyst.
You dismissed him as a dramatic little prick and he could only let the edges of his lips curve upward, he walked alongside you and brought you to Mount Hulao. His mission was to find the ancient goddess that once fell prey to Morax during the archon war, she was indeed one of a kind and Zhongli craved her presence after he had realized what he had done to her.
Prancing amongst the fields was the Goddess of Light, the hymns of her yearning song wishing to be praised by the higher being she sang to. Her loose Hanfu had complimented her captivating figure, elegance coveting her hourglass build.
