Chapter 16

(Narrative POV)
You wake up to the warmth of your boyfriend's endearing intimacy. A gentle smile laying on his lips as a large streak of red ran across your cheeks.

You said nothing and he only approved silently. He rested his head against yours, pulling you close as his hand began to wander down your body.

Childe crashed his lips onto yours, the sensation causing your stomach to tingle with butterflies. His kisses were gentle but slightly rough.

You ran your fingers through his hair while he slid his tongue in your mouth, earning a small tired whine from you. Once he heard it, he smirked unbeknowingstly.

Tucking his hand under your slightly lifted shirt, he pleaded with his eyes. Asking for your consent before proceeding to the next course of action.

You declined sweetly, pulling his hand from beneath your shirt. Reminding him that you both needed to take things slow.

"Okay, it's alright dear" he answered, pecking your cheek and stretching. Practically expanding his arms after being frozen in the same position for ages.

After you two had cleaned up, you both decided to go to the mall and spend some time there. As you of course, have work in two days and have spare time to kill.

This time, you both headed to a different mall. It was an expensive one because Childe himself, was very eager to spoil you with his fatui money that he had converted the other week prior.

"we're here!" you say awkwardly, feeling slightly out of place due to the lack of times you have gone here.

"Alright then. Lets go head for some cuisines first." the ginger suggested, intertwining his fingers with yours and leading you into the dazzingly built mall.

The place was scattered with rich people, eyeing you up and down and snorting at your  merry way.

Rich people here were so snobby and judgemental, it was kind of hard to tell whether they could sympathize with others or not. It just seemed that all they cared about were branded products and diamond coated anuses.

You and Childe went to a restaurant with delightful chinese meals, Childe had been craving chinese pork belly soup. Though, he did not know where to go until you reccommended one not so far from the shops you'd like to visit.

As you two downed your meals like homeless people without food, you earn funny gazes from the people nearby. A seemingly undeniably disgusted look on their face while you slurped on your noodles.

Many girls were caught fawning over your boyfriend who seemed to be fairly ignorant of them. Although it made you jealous, these were the consequences of owning such a pretty lover.

"Excuse me sir, i'd like to ask you if you're single?" a decently attractive woman questions Childe, a genuine smile on her face while she completely ignored you.

You felt rage overcome you, though you tried you best to be as calm as possible and check out what the ginger had to say for himself.

"Where are yours manners young lady? I am enjoying lunch with my wife and you dare ask those odd questions infront of me? How absurd" he states, shaking his head as he kept his arms crossed. The woman stares at him in disbelief, anger filling her irises as you tried your best not to laugh.

"if she ever cheats, just call me!" the girl forced the note that contained her number on you and childe's table, causing Childe to angrily shove and smudge the note on her makeup filled face throughout the process of pushing her away.

The staff eventually came over to check on the situation and dragged the woman out for harassing your poor partner.

He clicked his tongue dissappointingly, continuing his meal as you look back at the lady being taken out of the restaurant.

After Childe got you several stuff that you wanted, you and him took the opportunity to search for beautiful parks located near the mall you were at.

Although you were tired of parks, they never failed to amaze you. In any way shape or form, austrian parks are relaxing to go to when you're out with your partner.

However, to your surprise you could not find any nearby parks. So you chose to stroll around a small market found close by.

It was a deliberately small market, running along the rainy streets were people selling all sorts of goodies. Several shops contained freshly cut fruits, handpicked veggies, deliciously baked pastries, household needs, fake merchandise that was produced surprisingly well and lots more.

It surprised you on how everything here looked so clean and maintained, though. What could you say? Its Austria you're living at.

"this place seems really peaceful to look around in, I myself am really surprised!" Childe remarked, letting out a small chuckle as he gazed at the little shops that interested his eyes.

Childe on the other hand was looking for little hand crocheted  plushies for his siblings, thinking about what they would like once he comes back to them for a visit.

Of course, there were lots of options. But never a specific one that he deemed as a "good present", he was of course a man of high standards. So it explained his picky behavior.

Stumbling across a little baby shop, Childe gasped. Staring into the shop window, looking at the little baby clothes as he tugged your hand.

"what?" you make up, turning to his direction and focusing your glance onto the baby clothes. Gosh were they adorable. Despite how unready you were for children, the clothes were so cute and irresistible to not buy.

"Maybe another time alright? Once we have our life planned out" you managed to say, pulling Childe away while his sparkling eyes continue to dote on the baby shop you both passed.

Childe pouted, faking a frown as you both pass by a build a bear. It made Childe perk up, running right into the store. Leaving you to call out for him and deal with his childish acts. He really does in fact live up to his code name and it didn't shock you.

He had picked up a couple plushies, one of them being a cute my melody plush, a genshin ruin guard plush and two other cute teddy bears. He created very specific voice notes for each of them and proceeded to finish up the products.

The man confidently strode out the shop after paying, a playful smirk on his face as he handed a my melody plush to you.

"You really did not have to!" you mumbled out happily, pressing onto the button and listening to the voice note he had recorded.

"Y/N, i want you to know that your existence is one of the greatest joys that has been gifted to me. I hope that whatever troubles you I can help you evade it. I love you my dearest Y/N"

You smiled to yourself, silently tearing up as you finish off the voice note. Childe noticed this and enveloped you in a warm hug, he loved you so much that he was too scared to let go of you.

"Don't ever worry me like that again during that stupid brawl okay?" you note, gaining a small nod from Childe as you began sobbing shakily in his arms.

He knew that you were gonna feel embarassed after you finish crying, so he decided to shield your face away in his thick jacket. 

A smile appeared on his face as he pressed his lips against your forehead as you continuously sobbed onto his chest.

After you softened under his touch, he caressed your shoulders. Happily reassuring you as you both head back home for comfort. (and to also feed mae.)
