(Narrative POV)
"MEOWWWWHERRR" screamed Mae, while her claws clattered all over the pet carrier you placed her in. You let out a tired sigh, getting her in that thing took alot of time and convincing. She definitely did not trust you with the treats now.

While putting her in the car, your boyfriend approached you. Carrying your bags and accessories scattered around your apartment. He handed them over yo you, smiling kindly as you take them from his grasp and carefully stuffed them in the trunk.

You head inside your apartment again, checking for any belongings that may have been left behind. Surprisingly, everything was empty and nothing was left.

Your pc setup, bed, wardrobe, etc. Was gone, you had already furnished it into the cottage home you intended on moving to.

You sigh and walk back to car, waving one last goodbye before locking the door and using the elevator to get down.

Childe got in the driver's seat and fastened his seatbelt, holding onto the steering wheel as you sat yourself still on the passenger seat, checking your phone for notifications.

As you two were driving to your new home, you munched down on a couple snacks. Pringles, snickers, smarties, chocolate chip cookies, tortilla chips whatever you could get your hands on. Of course, you fed some to Childe whilst he was driving.

He complained about how many idiotic drivers there were on the street, naming them heathens or pests to humanity. Sounding visibly upset, he shoves his hand in a bag of chips and violently munches down out of anger.

You laugh at his behavior, earning a small grin from Childe. He seemed to settle down after hearing your heartful laugh, his boiling blood came to an end. Serotonin and dopamine taking over his body. His mood seemed enlightened by that small noise you let out.

Several sounds of scratching echoed from the back of the car. Peering over to the backseat, you notice Mae attempting to unlock the cage. Her paws sticking out of the carrier, fiddling with the padlock-like lock that kept her cage shut.

She seemed visibly pissed, she didn't like being put in carriers because it reminded her too much of going to the vet and getting shots or checkups.

You reached your finger into her little cage-hole, rubbing her under-chin. Earning a hearty purr from her. She felt scared, but by your side. Everything felt like everlasting serenity.

At least, that's what your loved ones say.

Before the birth of your sister, you were the golden light and charmer of the family. You were an expert at socializing and you were gifted with lots of skills. You could practically ace any task you were given.

Everywhere you went, envy lingered in the air. No, you weren't necessarily the main character. The world does not revolve around you. However, to many. It seemed as if you were their guiding light.

You have brightened the lives of many, you were an inspiration for those of the unfortunate, your personality and skillsets were what shone your character.

You were like no other, you empathized those in need, you cared for those who had approached their downfall. You changed people around you, gifting them blessings of success in their troublesome trials.

After you resided and gave the spotlight to your sister, she began to push you away. You loved her dearly, though you were nothing but a doormat to her. She copied everything about you, and craved everyone's attention. She was the bad apple of your family, though your parents never really cared and listened to her desires more than yours.

Your ambition was to serve those who have lived undesirable lives, whereas your sister's ambition was to dominate those around her and step on them like stepping stones to her breach of success.

The heavy downfall of your family's reputation soon tumbled, your sister ruining their name and blaming it all on you. You, meant no harm. You were just a precious soul eager to guide those in need and bless them with kindness they have never experienced.

Of course this entire problem shifted you to become aggressive and selfish, you learned it the hard way that humans only craved power and assertiveness over those who lie beneath them. Whoever levelled lowest were treated like garbage, their corpses decaying over the feet of successors.

The faith in humanity that you once deemed as important had turned into shambles once your sister entered the family. You began to rebel on lots of opinions, turning you into a more independent woman. Being able to thrive on your own without the help of anyone else.

After you had cut ties with your family, you changed everything about you. Your identity, your digital footprint, the relations you had. Everything that they knew of, was gone.

You do not go by your first name and last name, "Ewiger Segen" translating to "Eternal Blessings". You now go by "Y/N L/N". You don't correlate yourself to the Segen Family anymore and deem yourself an individual who succeeded in running away with disregard upon her abusive family.

Snapping back to reality, you notice how tense Childe seemed. His aura gave off some sort of agony or fear. It was quite unusual to sense this depressing aura off of him, moreover. He was quite the flirty and lovey-dovey kind. His normal aura would be bright and lovely, though this one in particular felt off.

"Honey, are you okay?" you nudge him, glancing over to his seemingly focused eyes that were glued onto the snowy roads upfront. He didn't respond for a few minutes, until he sighed thoughtfully. He stopped the car and gave you a look.

"Listen um, I could read everything you were thinking about. My apologies if it sounds weird. Though, I never knew you had such an unsettling past. You certainly did not deserve to be in that position my dear"

You let out a small chuckle, petting his shoulders as he kept his hands hooked onto the steering wheel. He seemed shameful that he heard all that, as if it was a secret you could only keep to yourself and never unfold to anyone else.

"It's okay, it isn't your fault that you have that super power" you joke, rolling your eyes as Childe stammers a small "h-hey-!" before blushing a bright red in embarrassment. Then, he continued driving to your new home.

You pondered way too much about your past, it disturbed you how you no longer have anyone except Childe, and he alone cannot be defined as something normal. He was a being that stepped foot into your world and decided to live with you.

It amazed you on how he just randomly decided to exist and make your life a living blessing, it truly was. After all, it wasn't like you were praying to the deity above to gift you a romantic partner.. right?

"we're here!" Childe chimed, kicking you out of these lingering thoughts. You shake your head and nod, unfastening your seatbelt and scooping up your belongings. Of course, Childe helped you with your stuff.

You settled your stuff in your room, organizing them to match your preference. Everything seemed so out of place. Maybe because you were just getting used to this place. It has been awhile since you lived with someone else other than your family and it pained you to know that.

Stepping your foot outside your bedroom, you heard sounds of water running. It confused you so you checked out the bathroom. Your eyes dilate as your mouth hung agape. Childe had gotten the both of you an expensive bath and he was running it specifically for you.

"I know, I understand. You wouldn't want me to disturb your you-time. So I'll leave. I also put those toxic chemicals in the bath. You know, the ones you poured in mine the first time we met?" Childe jokes, playfully nudging your shoulder with his fist. A wink on his face as he left you shocked and frozen in one spot.

You gulped, stripping your clothes off and admiring the giant tub. He bought this all for you?! Was he out of his mind or something?! How can someone settle the price of this tub?! It looked so expensive and unnecessarily flashy.

You ignored that thought of yours and began fading into derealization as you dreamt about a perfect life you perceived and craved from day 1. The deity you prayed to really told cupid to get you a man that gets you anything you want and oh boy did cupid do a really good job on that.

Slowly and surely enough you fell asleep in the bathtub. Silence filling the room as you keep yourself above the water level to make sure you wont drown in your slumber.
