Chapter 4: The Tour

Early the next morning, Leela knocked on my door to inform me that first Beta Titus was expecting me in the dining room for breakfast. She said that I needed to introduce myself to the pack and she was quite happy in front of me. I hurriedly fixed myself, brushing my teeth, hair, and putting on some light making before I went to the dining area, which might I add was not easy to find. When I got there, I saw a lot of wolves chatting but they had stopped when they saw me.
Everyone was looking at me as I walked into the room. Titus on the other hand let me sit in the Luna's place. That gained more whispers from the pack members. I looked at Titus and noticed that there was no mate sitting by his side. "Everyone! Listen!" Titus shouted. Everyone in the room became silent. "This is Lady Mika. She's a healer from Snow Moon pack and she's staying with us now. Give her your respect and greet her." He spoke with authority in his tone.
Some of the wolves howled with acceptance while others just looked at me with no emotion at all. Some of them were girls, maybe daughters of the high-ranking wolves. Titus looked at me and requested that I introduced myself to everyone. I became nervous but shrugged it away. I couldn't show any weakness here. "Hi everyone. I'm Mika, daughter of Alpha Malcolm of Snow Moon. I'm very pleased to be apart of your pack. I'm a healer as Titus said so if you need any assistance come to me. It's nice to meet you all."
I turned my attention to my food, finishing it all. I forgot that I didn't eat yesterday. I was so tired due to the long drive from Snow Moon to Silver Moon. North to South. "Lady Mika, since Alpha Shad isn't here right now, he told me to take you on a tour around the pack. We can go after breakfast." He said. I smiled at him. I couldn't hide the excitement that was filling me. I really wanted to see this place, ever since I grew up with cold and ice around me.
Titus smiled at me for the first time after seeing my reaction. That was the first time I saw how good looking he was. His face reminded me of Channing Tatum, so sexy and those dimples made him more attractive. I bet a lot of women here were trying to get his attention. I didn't have my wolf so I couldn't smell my potential mate. 'What am I thinking? Do I want Titus to be my mate?! Gather your thoughts Mika!' I yelled at myself mentally.
"I'm excited to do that. I've lived in Snow Moon my whole life, this place is new to me. I'd love to see it." I said. "Well, I think you need to dress less. It's hot outside and with clothes fully covering your body, you'll be sweating in no time." He replied. "Sure." I stood up, excusing myself from the others and went back to my room. I changed into skinny jeans, a plain white shirt, and a pair of boots. I ran back to the dining room, which was now empty except for Titus who was standing by the door, wearing black pants and a black shirt. Sexy! "Ready?" Titus asked. "Yes." I said.

The sunlight burned my snow-white skin but I didn't care. Titus took me to the back of the palace first, which was the garden. The smell of the flowers lingered in the wind. It brought me peace. I took note that this would be my sanctuary whenever I felt tired. After the garden, he took me to the training field. It was a flat clearing with a sand bag that made it look like a ring.
A huge man suddenly walked over to us. "Lady Mika, this is second Beta Corey, or in your pack third in command or Gamma. He's in charge of the pack training." Titus announced. "It's nice to meet you, Lady Mika. I heard that you're a warrior in your pack. I can't wait to see you train with us." Corey said. He was just wearing sport shorts, his huge body was on display. Oh dear goodness. I wasn't aware that there was a lot of perfect sculptures in this pack. My virgin eyes were hurting.
Although he was so big and scary, he had this cocky attitude which made me feel comfortable with his presence. It was also nice to know that I could still train here even though I wasn't a shifter. "Oh! That's great! You'll see me there tomorrow, k want to train with you guys. Back in Snow Moon, my father was always sparing with my brother and I." I answered. It was nice feeling welcomed by these people. "I see.... Then, I expect you to show yourself tomorrow." Corey said.
"Wait! Alpha Shad needs to know something before Lady Mika starts to train with the pack." Titus said. "Easy Titus, you know Shad's expecting a strong mate. I'm sure he'll agree with this." Corey said before he walked away and got back to training.
        We toured around more before Titus left me because of an urgent call and pack problems. He didn't explain it though, just told me to wait for him. I sat under a big tree near the training ground. I could see Corey shouting to a pair of wolves that were sparing. I stretched until the scent of a river hit me. Standing up, I forgot all about waiting for Titus.
I ran until I got to a river. It was very beautiful and I couldn't help myself. I wanted to feel the fresh water on my body. I hurriedly took my clothes off except for my bra and underwear. I ran and jumped into the warm and very clear water, just laying there floating until I sensed someone or something was watching me. I looked around but I didn't see anything. I went back to the tree where I put my clothes and grabbed them before putting them on. It still felt like someone was watching me.
"Is anyone there?" I asked, not being able to smell scents like the other wolves. I heard a cracking of twigs near me. "Who's there?" I shouted. Was it a rogue? Could a rogue be here without them knowing? I needed to run. I was in trouble. I ran back to the pack house until Titus came into view. "Lady Mika, what's happening?" Titus asked with concern filling his voice. "I-I... I went to the river and went swimming until it felt like someone was staring at me. I shouted and asked if anyone was there but I didn't get an answer." I said while trying to catch my breath.
"Did you sense it?" Titus asked. "Nope! I think it's near the riverside so the scent had to have been masked by the river, plus I can't smell that good due to not having my wolf yet." I explained. "That explains everything." He said. "Is it a rogue?"
"Nope, don't worry about it. You can go back and change. Lunch is ready. Come back down after you fix yourself."
"Fix myself?" I asked. "Yes, Lady Mika. Alpha Shad has already arrived and is joining us for lunch." He said. He's here?
