The castle became busy that night. I told the guards outside of my room to get Lainey because I needed someone to help with my bath. Though they looked at me like I was stupid, Monte went to the kitchen to grab her. Lainey came back with some bath items in her hands.
"Lainey what's going on outside? Why are they making such a fuss?" I asked. "Is this the only reason you asked for me this time." She said while putting the stuff in the bathroom. "Answer!"
"Calm down Mika. They're making a fuss outside because Master Landon came back bloody from their fight with your mate's pack. Master's fighters are also wounded. Everyone is busy taking care of them and taking blood to speed up their recovery."
I couldn't help but be happy at the outcome of Landon's attack on Shad. I hugged Lainey and jumped in the bed. "Mika wait, I'm not done yet." I let her go and waited for what she would say next. "I also heard that many died in the Snow Moon and Silver Moon packs."
"Snow Moon? My father is at Silver Moon?" I started to panic. I could feel if Shad was dead but not my father or brother. My blood began to boil. I started to regain my wolf power because Lainey was helping me. I didn't think twice and walked out of the room to go and look for Landon.
"Mika wait—" Lainey shouted but I slammed the door closed to cut her words off. I couldn't think straight. Monte and Vince looked at me but I stared at them, challenging them if they dared to stop me. Luckily, they understood and just followed me. I found Landon with the Oracle tending his wounds. "What are you doing
her—" before she could finish her words I pushed her away. Landon stared at me. "Are you jealous mate?" Landon asked. "Jealous?! In your dreams! I just came here to ask you if killed my father and brother that resided at Silver Moon when you attacked them."
Landon grabbed my chin and pulled me closer to his face. I saw the almost healed wounds on his body and I wondered who the lucky wolf was that did that to him. "Don't start with me now Mika. I'm not in the mood for fooling around. I don't know the looks of your father or brother but I'm sure I killed a lot of wolves in your pack." He said before pushing me away. "You bastard!" I gathered all of my strength and punched him but he caught my hand in the middle and pinned me against his bloody body.
"You're lucky that I need you. If not, you'd surely be dead."
"Lucky? I think I'm the unluckiest person in the world because I'm here stuck with you." I said before pushing his hands off me. "Master Landon, I think you need to rest in your chambers now. You lost a lot of blood. You need to feed also." Lauren, the oracle said. I looked at her. I could feel that she liked Landon a lot because she worried herself for this demon. "If I didn't know that Oracle's can't have mates, I'd think you and Landon were a thing." I said smirking.
"Shut your mouth and go to your room wolf." Lauren said. "Why? Are you jealous that I'm standing next to Landon and you're here just watching us?"
"Don't be delusional. I think nothing about that."
"I think this is the will of the Moon Goddess. Maybe this is why you stayed mateless after being an oracle for many years. You could just give up your power and be with Landon but I guess, Landon won't need you anymore because you'll be an ordinary human." I said.
She got mad and grabbed the table next to her, throwing it at me. I didn't avoid it. I thought someone would protect me from it. And I was right. "Both of you stop this instant! You're both sore to my eyes right now. I don't need both of you here, so leave!" Landon shouted. "But master Landon you need to feed." Lauren said. "I can feed with someone else. Now leave before I throw you both in the dungeon." Landon said.
Monte and Vince made their way and assisted me away from Landon while Lauren just walked out of the room. "Stop acting like a child Mika and don't say that in front of your mate." Landon warned. I turned and looked him in his eyes. "The last time I checked, my mate is a werewolf, not a vampire."
Landon lost his patience. He grabbed my arms and brought me to his chambers. He threw me inside and I landed on my face. I was about to stand but he jumped on me and pushed my body down. I fought but when I felt his sharp teeth sink into my neck, I slowly lost my strength. My body started to feel hot. 'Damn this mate shit. I can't fight the feelings starting to grow in my body.' I said to myself.
"Even though you denied it a couple times, your body is mine Mika. I will not let that wolf take you. I will kill him the next time our paths meet," he said before he tore my clothes off. "He almost killed you and I'm sure he will be successful next time." I said as I waited for him to do his thing but before he successfully assaulted my body again, someone knocked on the door.
I heard Landon curse under his breath before standing and opening the door. "Make sure it's important or I will kill you in an instant." Landon shouted. "I'm sorry to disturb you Master Landon but the castle is under attack!"
"What?! How did this happen?!"
"We still don't know but there are many. They already killed all of our patrols by the borders."
"Fuck! Gather everyone and kill them immediately. Call the Oracle and send her here." Landon said. I smiled. Shad was here. He finally found me.
Landon saw me smiling. "Don't be happy so early, this time I will kill your mate."
"I have faith with my real mate. I can't wait to see him soon."
"Master, I'm here. How may I help you?" Lauren said, interrupting our conversation. "Bring Mika to the secret chamber. Stay there until I come to get you." Landon ordered.
"Yes master."
Landon left us after giving his orders. Lauren grabbed a robe and threw it to me. "Wear that wolf. I don't want you walking into the chambers naked." She said. "If I were you, I would stop this stupidity and regain your soul from the Moon Goddess." I said. She grabbed me and moved in front of the bookshelves. She pushed a book and the shelves moved, showing us a tunnel.
Before I could complain and fight with her, she called someone outside to help her push me in. They injected me with some drug causing me to faint. 'Shad, help me! I'm here! Help me!' I shouted in my head.
