Never Say A Word

Chapter 13

It started getting dark out and not only dark, but cold. I hugged myself tighter trying to stay warm.

"JENNIFER!!" I heard someone yell at the top of their lungs. It was Michael. I looked back shivering. I saw three flashlights far behind me.

"JENNIFER!!" They all yelled at the same time. They were coming closer and closer as they screamed my name. Then they stopped under me.

"We've been searching for hours where is she?" Ashton asked out of breath. I didn't want to talk to I took a small branch breaking it off and dropping it on them. It hit Michael.

"Ow!" He said rubbing his head. He looked up but didn't see me. I picked off a bunch of leaves and dropped them on them. They all looked up and shined their flashlights up at me.

"Jennifer!" Calum grinned. I got down and they all hugged me tight. I shivered when they let go and the warmth of all of them disappearing. "Here." Calum said taking off his jacket and putting it over my shoulders. I pointed to his shirt which one sleeveless. He shrugged. "I'll be fine."

"Come on let's go." Ashton smiled. They started walking but I didn't follow. They looked back at me.

"You comin' Jen?" Michael asked.

"Oh I know." Calum smiled coming over to me. He picked me up bridal style and walked close behind them. I looked at him and he smiled. I looked at Ashton and Michael to make sure they weren't looking and I turned back to Calum. I kissed him on the cheek and he looked at me. "Weren't we pretending that kiss never happened?" He whispered. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled myself up to his ear.

"Thank you." I whispered very quietly. He looked at me and smiled. We got to Calum's car and Calum made me sit on his lap in the backseat. I feel fell asleep using his shoulder as a pillow.

When I woke up I was in bed. But not my bed. Then an arm wrapped around me from behind me and pulled me closer to whoever it was. When I look back, Michael was smiling asleep.

"Michael!" I said and he woke up and realized what he did. He let go of me and sat up.

"Sorry!" He bit his lip.

"Why am I in your house in your bed?"

"Because Ash, Cal, and I brought you here and Calum put you in my bed. I was so tired later that I got in forgetting you were here." I didn't know what to say so I got up and went over to his dresser. I grabbed his hairbrush and started brushing my hair. "Ashton and Calum are downstairs if you want to see them." Michael told me breaking the silence. I then went downstairs to find both asleep on the couch. Ashton had his arm over Calum and Calum curled up hugging the blankets. I didn't know where my phone was they must of took it out of my pocket to charge it, so I grabbed Calum's phone on the table and took a picture sending it to me. Then I pulled the blanket off of them. Ashton groaned and his grip on Calum got tighter. The grip must of got too tight because Calum woke up. He looked back at Ashton.

"Ew Ashton!" Calum said trying to get Ashton's arm off from around him. I laughed. "Shut up and help me. Wake him up!" I shook my head laughing. Calum elbowed him in the stomach and he woke up.

"Ow!" Ashton said then he realized. "Ew!" He said getting up and climbing over Calum. He went into the kitchen. Calum then got up and I laughed at him some more.

"Whys my phone in your hand?" He asked and I stopped looking down at my hand seeing I never put down his phone.

"Nothing!" I said hiding it behind my back.

"Give me my phone back."

"It's mine!"

"Really it's your phone." He said crossing his arms. "Your phone with my case on it."

"Yeah I switched them." I said forming my lips to a line.

"Give me back my phone." He held out his hand.

"No thanks."

"Jen." It went silent then I ran but he caught me as I laughed. He pulled me back and wrapped his arms around my waist lifting me up.

"No!" I laughed. He then held me up with only one arm grabbing his phone with the other.

"Mine." He said and I looked back at him. He smiled and tickled my side a little. I looked back at him and he kissed me again.

"What the hell?" We heard Michael say. Calum and I looked over at the stairs and Ashton and Michael were staring shocked at us. Calum let go of me and we stood there embarrassed.

"You two, sit now." Ashton said both coming over. We sat on the couch both putting our hands between our knees staring down at them. Ashton and Michael stood in front of us with their arms crossed. "Either of you want to tell us why that looked a little more friendly?" Ashton asked. Neither of us said anything.

"Have you done that before?" Michael asked. We still didn't answer. They then whispered something to each other that I couldn't hear good enough to understand.

"What would you guys do if we separated you two?" Ashton asks and we looked up at them.

"You're grounded from each other." Michael said with an evil smile.

"You can't do that!" I said.

"Yeah we can. Jennifer upstairs, my room." Michael said pointing upstairs.

"No." I simply said. Michael then picked me up and carried me to his room. He set me down on the bed before he closed the door.

Later I heard Calum downstairs.

"Ok fine I'll break!" He yelled.

"I'll go get her." Ashton said and he came up opening the door. "Come down." He said. I got up and when I made it downstairs Calum hugged me tight. Then Michael and Ash came over to us and Calum smiled at me. Then he let go of me and we stood there in silence when I felt his hands slowly wrapping around my waist. Once he hands were together he pulled me closer making me smash my lips into his. We separated and Calum let go of me and looked at Ash and Michael.

"Good enough?" He asked.

"Yeah." Ashton nodded smiling.

"You guys ok?" Michael asked seeing the looks on our faces. we both slowly nodded.

"We're sorry we made you do that." It was silent. "So now neither of you are going to talk?"
