Friday morning I woke up in Calum's bed. I spent the night with him sense my parents were having Luke's parents over. I sat up seeing Calum shirtless and brushing his hair after a shower.
"Morning." He said seeing me in the mirror. I fell back laying back down. "Or not." Calum laughed a little. He came over to me leaning over the bed. I don't know why but he looked...different. "You gonna get up?" I groaned trying not to smile at how he looked. "Come on school starts in like an hour." I groaned again. I didn't want to go to school. My parents didn't care and his parents are divorced while his mom traveled a lot so she was gone for two more weeks. "Don't feel good?" I groaned again pulling the covers up over my head. I heard him laugh a little and he tried to pull the covers off. When I wouldn't let him he snuck in under the covers somehow and was laying next to me. "Hi." He smiled. I groaned trying very hard not to smile now. "Is that all you're going to do? Groan?" He asked and I groaned smiling a little. "So it's not that you don't feel good." I shook my head. "Do you not want to go school?" I nodded. "You sure?" I nodded again. "Do you want me to stay with you or something?" I was trying to decide then I remembered about my broken leg and nodded. "Ok I'll stay with you." He said and he tried to take the covers off of both of us. "Let me out its hot under here." He laughed a little.
"No!" I giggled.
"Yes it's really hot!" He laughed then he under covered us and he sat up. "So I took a shower for nothing."
"Not for nothing." I said out loud. He looked back at me with an eyebrow raised. I tried to think of something to say.
"You can't go anywhere without struggling with a broken leg. So what do you mean nothing? Are you talking about me being shirtless?" He asked with an eyebrow still raised and a small smile. I shook my head. "Don't lie to me." He smiled. He laid back down on his side propped up on his right elbow. "I know what's going on in that crazy mind." He said tapping my forehead.
"How would you know what I'm thinking about you being shirtless?"
"Because I've known you for years, I know what you're thinking."
"Your wet hair effects it more." I said messing up his hair.
"No don't!" He said getting up and looked in the mirror to fix it. I laughed at him. "If it dries messed up it stays messed up." He said.
"Then blow dry it."
"How?"
"Want me to? It's easier to do it on someone else." He thought for a minute.
"Just don't mess it up."
"Ok picky picky." I said getting up. He went and got his moms blow dyer and pulled over a stool sitting down. I started to blow dry it raking my fingers through his bangs and shaking them.
"Don't mess it up!" He said leaning back.
"This way it drys quicker! I'm a girl I do this everyday just trust me!" I giggled. He stayed put while I finished. "See. I told you." I smiled moving so he could see in the mirror.
"It's straight." He said me not being able to tell if he was disappointed or not. He looked at me in the mirror.
"Do you not like it straight?" He shrugged. "It's cute." I said honest.
"Then I'll keep it straight." He smiled. I looked at him. "If you think it's cute then of course I'll keep it like that."
"Then I want to try something." I smiled. Sense I stay here so much I kept some things here for when I needed them. I got a white clip bow that I used to wear and told him to close his eyes. Once he did I clipped it in his bangs. "Open." I said and he looked in the mirror.
"No!"
"It's actually really cute!" I laughed. He took it out and got up.
"Sense you did my hair I get to do yours." He said and I stopped laughing and my eyes grew wide. "Sit." He pointed to the stool and I nervously sat down.
"What are you gonna do with it?" I asked.
"I promise I won't tangle it or do something crazy." He said grabbing a brush. He brushed my hair gently the bristles of the brush tickling my back. "You got so much hair!" Calum said taking all my hair into his hands and throwing it to the sides.
"I know." I giggled. Once he was done brushing it he stared at all of it in the back.
"Ooh I know!" He finally said and he grabbed the brush and tried putting it in a high ponytail.
"Ow dude!" I said when he made a knot after taking out the failed ponytail.
"Sorry." He said gently brushing it again. I then felt him do a regular braid down my back. "There. You don't have to keep it in sense I didn't keep in the bow." He said with a smile at the end. I looked at it the best I could and smiled.
"Thank you." I said.
"Well what should we do?"
"I don't know. We can't go anywhere. Shouldn't you put on a shirt?"
"Nah. I'll be without one just for you." He smirked a little with a small laugh after. I rolled my eyes playfully. "Want to go watch a movie in the basement?"
"How will I get down there though?" The doctor said that if I could I didn't need crutches when I'm at home. Calum had to carry me up the stairs I didn't want him to do that to go down the stairs or a lot.
"I can carry you."
"I'm too heavy you'll get tired of carrying me."
"No you're not. Your like as light as a feather. Jennifer I don't care if I have to carry you sometimes with your broken leg. It's fine." He shrugged. He then picked me up bridal style and carried me down into the basement.
