He put me down on the couch and sat next to me.
"What should we do first?" He asked. "Watch a movie or play video games?"
"Um I'm not really in the mood for video games today." I bit my lip.
"That's ok. What movie do you want to watch?" He asked grabbing the remote.
"Whatever good movie we can find." I shrugged. We ended up watching The Maze Runner and Calum got us a bowl of popcorn. I didn't notice till after the movie that I put my head on Calum's shoulder.
"You comfy?" Calum asked and I quickly lifted my head up. I looked at him and he smiled.
"Sorry." I quietly said.
"It's fine." He said still smiling. "You still tired?"
"A little." I yawned.
"Want to get some more sleep? You did stay up late not being able to sleep."
"How did you know? You were asleep."
"Because every time I woke up you were awake." He laughed a little.
"Oh." I bit my lip smiling.
"Sleep?"
"Yeah." I nodded then I moved back a little and laid down resting my head on Calum's lap.
"Ok." He said and I smiled up at him.
"I hope you're not planning on getting up soon."
"No I don't." He shook his head giggling. Then his phone buzzed. He looked at it.
"Who texted you?"
"Michael."
"Texting in class when the teachers not looking, typical Michael. What'd he say?"
"He asked where we were." He told me typing at the same time.
"Well, we're in your basement getting comfy." I smiled. It felt a little weird talking to him. He just looked...so different.
"You're getting comfy." He corrected me putting down his phone.
"True." I said and he put his phone down and put on a new movie. I soon closes my eyes and fell asleep.

"Jennifer wake up." Calum shook me.
"What?" I groaned sitting up.
"My legs are asleep now." He smiled.
"What time is it?"
"9:30." He looked at his phone. "What should we do?"
"Go upstairs." I said raking my fingers through my hair.
"Ok." He got up and picked me up bridal style carrying me upstairs. "Why are you so light?"
"I'm not."
"Yeah you are." He smiled throwing me in the air a little.
"Careful with my leg!"
"Sorry." He put me down. "I want to go somewhere."
"Then let's go get my crutches and you a shirt." I looked down. "Me have me get dressed." I giggled.
"Ok." He said picking me back up.
"So you're completely fine with carrying me?"
"Yeah I am."
"Why?"
"I choose not to say." He said trying to hide him biting his lip. We got into his room and he put on a shirt while I put my pink poncho over the tank top I was wearing and he went out of the room so I could get my shorts on. I opened the door. "What about your crutches?"
"I want to try going without them." I looked back at them. They were a pain! They hurt my arms, hard to walk with, couldn't carry anything, just awful.
"You sure?" I nodded. "I'm gonna put the in the car just in case." He said walking past me grabbing them. He quickly put them at the bottom of the stairs then came back up to get me.
"You know maybe you should just carry me everywhere." I giggled being sarcastic. He put me down and we walked out going to the car.
"Where should we go?" He asked getting into the drivers seat.
"Wherever." I shrugged.
"Food?" I thought for a minute.
"Food." I nodded. He started driving to who knows where to eat while I played on my phone.

We got to Panera and when we walked in it only had a few people in there.
"What do you want?"
"Green tea, and macaroni and cheese." I smiled like a little kid.
"Then that's what I'll get." He did the same. We walked up to a counter and Calum told the girl what we wanted. We sat down at a table for two next to a window.
"Ok I have to ask," I sighed, "is it just me or is it a little...weirder hanging out with you than normal?" He thought for a moment but when he opened his mouth to say something they called his name and our food was ready. He got up and came back with a tray with our food and drinks.
"Here you go." He smiled putting my plate and green tea in front of me.
"So you didn't answer my question." I smiled acting like it wasn't a big deal.
"It's probably only weird because we should be at school...that and you saw me shirtless earlier."
"I've seen you shirtless before."
"Yeah when we were what? 10?" I shrugged. "Other than that no not really." He started eating. "Ok now I know why you ordered this."
"It's good isn't it." I smiled.
"Very." He said taking another bite.
"Here try the green tea." I handed him my tea. He took a sip and smiled.
"That's good too, but not as good as this." He said handing it back and I giggled.

Soon we were back in the car going to his house. It was silent.
"Why did you let me use your lap as a pillow? You never would of."
"You were tired." He shrugged not looking away from the road.
"Why did you keep your shirt off for me?"
"I don't know." He shrugged again.
"How come you didn't want to tell me why you were completely fine with carrying me?"
"Why are you asking so many questions?" He laughed a little turning his head to look at me. Then he looked back at the road. "Jen it's still the same between us, just...different."
"That doesn't make any sense."
"We're doing different things like watching a movie and going out to eat. But that's like the only things different."
"It feels like it's way more different."
"If I was planning something I would end up telling you because you know I can't keep surprises a secret." I didn't say anything for the rest of the short car ride. When we got back to his house we went inside and I sat on the couch. He came over after putting my crutches upstairs. "You ok?" He asked sitting next to me. I didn't answer. "Jen." He said. "Jen Jen Jen." He sighed shaking his head.
"Yeah what about me." I asked frustrated.
"Nothing!" He put his hands up in surrender.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes getting up. I went over to the stairs and looked at them. Then I felt arms slowly wrap around my waist.
"Want help?" Calum whispered in my ear. Butterflies flew in my stomach.
"No!" I snapped. I grabbed the hand rail and put my good leg on the first stair. I had to go one stair at a time. Then I gasped when I hit my right foot and I started falling back. Calum grabbed me and soon had me in his arms. He put me in his room and loped back at me before he walked out.
"Pouty." He said with a small smirk.
"Just get out!" I said and he closed the door and I heard him running down the stairs. What was happening?
