It's been a month since the One Love Manchester concert and Ariana was taking pictures with some fans.
"Are you and Y/n back together?" A fan asked.
"No." Ariana smiled.
"Why was she with you on the stage? And even in the hospital when you visited the injured people?" Another fan asked.
"Y/n will always be the first person I'll call when I need her. No matter what happens, Y/n and I will always have a special bond. She was there to support me." Ariana told her.
"I hope you two get back together." The fans said and Ariana just smiled.
She hoped that too.
A year later, 2nd May 2018, almost one year after the Manchester tragedy and almost two years since Y/n and Ariana had broken up. Ariana was currently on her first interview since the Manchester tragedy. She was on the Jimmy Fallon tonight show.
"Ariana I know this is your first interview after the Manchester tragedy and I want to thank you for coming up here and being so strong." Jimmy said and Ariana's eyes immediately filled with tears.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"It's really admiring to see you trying so hard to spread love everywhere." He said.
Ariana nodded her head while trying to blink her tears away.
"But everyone still has questions about you and Y/n. You guys were in love for a long time and seeing her there with you in the concert and even visiting the injured people a year after you two broke up was surprising. You of course don't have to answer if that's too much for you." Jimmy told her.
Ariana was sure she would cry any minute but Jimmy asked nicely so Ariana couldn't bring herself to not answer the question.
"No, it's okay." Ariana smiled, "I'll just tell you the story. So Y/n's parents were with me in Manchester and her mom called her to tell her what happened and Y/n flew over to Manchester immediately. The next morning she was already in my hotel room and comforted me. I'm really thankful for that. I hadn't slept in more than 24 hours and she managed to calm me down and let me have a few hours of sleep. She really brought me peace." Ariana's voice cracked at the end and her eyes filled with tears again.
"I'm sorry. Y/n's just really special to me." Ariana apologized.
"Don't apologize girl!" A boy screamed from the crowd causing Ariana and Jimmy to laugh.
"Thank you, I love you." Ariana smiled, "I told her how I felt about the bombing attack and she suggested that I'd do the One Love Manchester concert. So we flew back home and after a week I called her and told her everything and yeah. And so we were in Manchester and she supported me with every single thing." Ariana finished with a smile.
"I love that she was with you to visit the victims." Jimmy said and Ariana agreed.
"I don't know what I would've done without her." Ariana admitted.
"Have you seen her again after that?" He asked but Ariana shook her head.
"It's been almost a year since I've last seen her or even talked to her." Ariana had a sad smile on her face.
"Aww. I'm sorry." Jimmy said and the audience awwed as well.
"Oh it's okay." Ariana smiled.
Y/n watched the interview during her break because Andy showed it to her. He showed her every single interview.
"Do you think she misses me?" Y/n asked.
"Of course dumbass." Andy said.
"I have to solve this case." Y/n sighed.
