Chapter 8

Penelope's POV

I was heading out of my apartment when I hear my name being called. I turn around to see Travis. "Oh my fucking god! Travis!" I squeal and run to him and he wraps me in a tight hug. "Ahh I missed you Pen!" I hear him say, I pull away and hold his face in my hands. "Mmm how's life going? You good?" I smile when he pouts and holds a hand to his forehead and his other hand rests on his chest.

"Ahh life is going so bad, I finally got my dream house, my boyfriend is no longer my boyfriend but my fiancé and-" I immediately let go of his face and squeal loudly before hugging him again. "Omg you're engaged?! Congratulations!" He laughs and hugs me back.

"Yep, Damian was so fucking nervous when he was asking, he looked so cute" I pull away and softly slap his chest. "God you and your brother always have to be dramatic, did you really have to do that pose with your hand on your forehead and chest?"

He laughs and pushes me gently. "Hey listen, it runs in the family, besides it's funny and it makes you laugh. So, are you gonna make me even more happier and finally come to the Cabin with me and Grayson?"

My smile slips and I inhale and look up at him and smile sheepishly. "Yea I kinda figured but one day you do gotta come to the cabin, you know Grayson has been wanting to take you ever since y'all got close" I frown and look away. "Yea I know, I feel bad but my cafe-" Travis holds my shoulders.

"Your cafe can survive without you for a few days and besides Cherry or someone else can always hold down the fort. You deserve breaks every once and awhile." I nod and pull away, hugging myself. "I know Travis, but anyways, I hope you have fun at the cabin, say hi to Damian for me, I have to go to work" I start to walk when I hear a door open from down the hall. Oh shit. "Oh- hey neighbor!"

I hear Lucy. I tightly smile at her but curse internally when I hear Gray's door open. I turn around to see him try and close the door before Lucy can see him but it's too late. "Gray! Hi there!" I grimace and so does Travis when he notices his brother stiffen.

"Hello uh strange girl but me and brother have to talk, bye now" Travis walks over to Gray's door and pushes Gray inside and he tries to close the door but Lucy stops him. "Wait, Grayson has a brother? Aww Gray, you never told me that you had one"

Why the hell is she talking about Travis like he's a pet? 'You never told me you had one' the fuck?

"Lucy, hello. The brothers are really busy today so just leave them alone please." I walk over to her but she only glances at me and rolls her eyes. "Listen Pen, I can talk to my boyfriend and his brother" My eyes widen. Is she delusional? "First of all, you're not his girlfriend-" She cuts me off. "How would you know?" She says with so much venom in her voice. I roll my eyes.

"Because he's already rejected you" She rolls her eyes. "What are you, his girlfriend?" If she won't back off then fuck yea I'm his girlfriend. "As a matter fact, I am, I'm Grayson's girlfriend" I say with a straight face. I see Travis and Grayson's eyes widen.

"Oh yeah? Prove it, kiss Grayson" This time my eyes widen. I thought she'd just take my word for it, well I'm already too deep into this. I walked into Gray's apartment, walk past Travis and stand in front of him. I look up at his lips and then to his eyes.

I see him give me a slight nod. I lean up on my toes, my hands sliding up his arms up to his neck as he bends down and grabs my waist with one hand while the other holds my neck. I can feel his breath hit my lips as he leans in closer, licking his lips and then-

"Fuck! Never mind!" I feel a hand tug me away from Grayson, I turn around to see Lucy holding my shirt, looking up at Grayson and then to me then she pulls her hand away from me like I burned her. "I believe you, damn it... whatever, you guys won't last and when you guys break up, I'll be there for him"

She finally walks away and goes back inside her apartment. I turn around to face Grayson, blushing. "Umm sorry about that Thumper, only way I could think of to get rid of her" I look up at him to see him smile softly at me. "Don't worry about it Sunshine, I get it. Thank you, really. At least now she'll back off but until she backs off completely, I guess you're my girlfriend"

He smirks at me and I smile softly. "I guess, anyways I really have to get to work now or I'll be late, bye Grayson. See you in a couple of days" He looks at me confused. "Huh, what do you mean?" I raise my eyebrow and point to Travis. "The cabin?" He facepalms himself.

"Right, I forgot. Okay yeah, I'll see you in a couple of days Sunshine, have a good day at work and please don't forget to take care of yourself, eat real food, do self care and-" I wave him off. "I know Grayson, okay bye now!" I wave at him and fist bump Travis. "Bye guys, have fun!"
