Chapter 34

Penelope's POV

I swear ever since I told Gray about throwing my birth control, he has been an animal in heat. Geez, I think this is the most I've walked with shaking legs. Been here for only four days and it's the most I've had sex in all my fucking life. I told him for the last two days here, to let me get to know the land and he reluctantly agreed.

Now he made it his mission to do a picnic like our first date by a waterfall near the cabin. "Come on sunshine, it isn't that far of a walk" I smile and take his hand, walking over the bridge. "Let me carry the blanket" He nods and hands me the soft blanket while he carries the basket.

As we continue to walk down the trail, the sounds of the birds chirping gets louder and even a squirrel ran across the trail in from of us. And then as we got closer to the waterfall, I can hear the sounds of the rushing water. I jog ahead to look at the waterfall, ignoring Grayson's laugh and then I smile as the sight of the waterfall comes into view.

I slow down and bend down to put my hand in the water but before I could, Grayson speaks out. "I wouldn't do that, It's just the beginning of spring sunshine, the water is still cold" I roll my eyes and still do it but instantly regret it when my hands immediately starts stinging from the cold. "Ah!" I yank my hand back and shake the water off, groaning at Grayson's laughter.

"Shut up, and stop laughing at me" I glare at him as I place the blanket down and he just smirks at me. Is it wrong that I'm getting horny just from his looks and stare at me? No, I don't think it is. I shake my head and sit down on the blanket and he sits down after me, placing the basket down.

"You're so beautiful sunshine" He reacts his hand up and caresses my cheek and I smile while blushing. "Thank you thumper" He nods and leans in, kissing me softly. "You're welcome sweet girl" I smile and look at the basket. "What'd ya pack?" He chuckled before turning around to get the basket, placing it in front of me and opening it.

"So we have a variety of fruits, tuna fish sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, water, wine and wine glasses" I smile at him. "Thank you" He hugs me, placing a kiss on my forehead. "Wait, question" He chuckles. "Answer" I turn to face him. "Where is your company building located? I always forget" He hums and frown slightly. "It's at Grover street, near the intersection" I nod.

"Ohh okay, anything coming up soon at your company?" He nods, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Yea, I'll be having a meeting next month with some coordinators to plan some stuff for the company and to talk about the finances and interest of the employees and the rate of the things we've been selling. I'll have to go into work early that day but I would probably be done by three or four so I'll drive to your cafe after I'm done with my meeting"

I nod. "I'm happy that your company is taking off but babe, what do you sell again? You sell quite a few things right? Clothes, toys and what?" He smiles and nods.

"Clothes, toys, food, tasers, and pepper sprays. We also have a separate part of the company to provide therapy and self defense for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. And because I'm such a nice person too, we also provide shelters for the homeless or kids that got kicked out for being gay or just kids that got kicked out in general."

"The self defense and therapy is really cheap and the shelters are obviously free and the people that need shelter can stay there as long as they need until they can get back up on their own two feet. But yea, that's it. I've always wanted to help people, therapy can be expensive and not a lot can afford it, self defense is also cheap because all that matters is that the person feels safe. I guess the way I want to help people still sticks with me even after the army"

I lean in and kiss him softly before pulling back. "You are such an amazing person and it's wonderful that you want to help people, that you're so passionate about this and I can't wait to see your company grow.

Imagine all the people you'll help? My boyfriend is a hero, literally" He blushes before picking a strawberry covered in chocolate and stuffing it in my mouth. He's lucky I love chocolate covered strawberries.
