"YOU WERE GOING TO KILL HER?" Sophie screamed in Mr. Forkle's face as he walked in. Sophie had expected him to ask who, or even look vaugley confused, but instead he just sighed deeply. "She's not natural. She was a mistake. We promised to keep her alive as long as she didnt meet you." He said, sounding tiered. This just made Sophie more mad. "I'm not going to let you hurt her! What happened to the Black Swan who cared about all life, natural or not? Because guess what? I'm not natural either! And you kept me alive!" She yelled. "That's because you were what we needed. She's unstable. We wanted to keep her alive. We really did, but her powers are unpredictable. She's unsafe. " He explained. "I don't care! Let us find a place for her to stay, and get her trainig! You don't have to worry about her anymore ok?" Sophie fumed. Her, her friends, and her parents had all agreed on this plan already, but they still had no idea where to put the powerful girl, where she was safe, hidden, and couldn't hurt anyone. Sohpie had sugested Everglen, but was shot down, because, while she had forgiven Fitz, he wasn't considered safe anymore. They had thought about her living with the gnomes, but decided against it, because the gnomes were such fragile creature, and if Alex lost control someone would get hurt. That left Quinlin and Livvy, or Sophie and her family. "And where is a safe place for this- for Alex?" Mr. Forkle asked, as if reading Sophies mind. "We haven't decided yet. We have two options, but..." Sophie trailed off, not quite sure where to go with that sentence. "You have two days, or she's coming with us." Mr. Forkle decided. " Oh, so that she can go with you? Right to her death right? Sounds awesome! 'Mr. Forkle, the guy who litterally messed with my dna, going to kill a girl because shes 'unnatural' and expect me to be cool with it." Sophie said in an icy tone as she got up and stoped to the door. Mr. Forkle flinched and said. "I'm sorry Sophie. We just want you to be safe."  Sophie wheeled on him . "Yeah? Well I'm going to keep my sister safe! She deserves life just as much as I do! Good bey Mr. Forkle! I hope you have a nice life!" Sophie opened the door Oh, and don't let people experiment on your DNA and mess up, because then you're choped meat! " She stormed out. Mr. Forkle had started to say something, but she slammed the door before she could hear him.

She stopped at the top of the stairs, and took a deep breath. She couldn't let Alex know about the deadline that's literally a deadline. She walked calmly down the stairs and found Alex sitting criss-cross on the couch chatting with Livvy and Quinlin, who were right beside her. They looked so happy. "Maybey this will work after all" Sophie thought.  She walked over and sat on the floor in front of them all on the floor. "Oh, hey Sophie! How did it go? Did he say I can stay?" Alex asked optimistically. "Uhm...well... He said we need to find you a place to stay." Sophie explained.  "Hey Alex, can you run to the kitchen and get us some water?" Livvy asked Alex. "Sure." Alex bubbled, and hopped up walking out of the room. "I think we need to take her." Livvy said one Alex was out of earshot. "Why?" Sophie asked curiously. "I cant explain it, but I know we need to." Quinlin said to, to Sophie's suprise.  "Shes a good kid, and needs someone to take care of her." He explained. "Okay." Sophie agreed as Alex walked back in with Edaline chatting away.  "So Alex," Livvy started "Do you know what all you can do yet?" And just like that Alex's posture changed. Her smile fell, her shoulders set, her eyes narrowed, and her mouth hardened into a thin line. "Why?" She asked suddenly her cheerful attitude gone. "Well i was just wonedering. Its ok if you dont want to talk about it though." Livvy said carefully. "No its fine. You should probably know how danderous I am before you want to keep me." Alex said, mostly to herself. She looked lost in thought, and was counting on her fingers. She focoused again and began to talk. "I once ran away to the human world, trying to find Sophie. I ran into some people who were terrified of me. They called me "The Child of Elements" because i can control all of the elements. Fire, water, air, and earth. Then I ran into another group who accused me of being someone called Loki. They said it was my shapeshifting ability that led them to belive i was the trickster god. I can also control light and feel othr peoples emotions, but thats fairly new." They all stared at her in shock. "What?" Alex asked frustrated. "Youre more powerful than any elf to ever live." Grady said in shock
