Sparks Fly- Taylor Swift

The swing music bounced off the walls of the club, making it even louder than it already was. The band moved freely, making the audience toss and turn wildly. Bucky snickered when he saw someone trip on the dance floor. Cara just gasped, swatting him on the arm.

"Bucky!" He just smiled and looked her in the eye.

"You've got to admit, that was a little bit funny." Cara rolled her eyes and pressed her lips tightly together before a smile slipped out.

"That's not the point." Cara bit her lip when her smile showed through. Bucky just laughed at her before pulling her close, his hand on her waist.

"Do you want a drink?" He spoke close to her ear so she could hear over the loud music. Cara nodded, making him walk with her to the bar. "What do you want?"

"Martini, please." Bucky nodded before turning to the bartender, still keeping his hand on her waist.

"A manhattan and a martini for the pretty lady, please." The bartender eyed Cara with squinted eyes, resting his gaze on her chest a little too long for Bucky's liking. Cara was oblivious to the man, instead looking at the wall decor.

"You got some ID?" The older man spoke with his gaze still on her chest. Cara reached into her purse, making her dress move to show more of her cleavage. Bucky clenched his jaw before positioning himself between the two and effectively blocking his line of sight. The bartender just huffed slightly before checking her ID and handing it back to her.

"A manhattan and a martini for the pretty lady." Bucky just nodded swiftly, trying to get Cara far away from the creep. She just sipped her drink, happily watching the band. Soon they were both at two stools far from the man.

"He was nice!" Bucky just scooted closer to her, his body pointed to her.

"No he wasn't, doll." Cara's brows furrowed before widening her eyes in realization. Cara leaned closer to him.

"Nevermind him. You want to dance?" Bucky smiled before jumping up and pulling her with him to the dance floor, making Cara giggle. Bucky quickly made room for them before twirling her wildly to the upbeat song, making her throw her head back and laugh. All he could think about at the moment is how he wished he could hear her laugh every second of the day.

The next hour and a half was spent with Bucky and Cara practically floating around the dance floor, moving fast to the louder wild songs and slower to the calmer songs. They only decided to call it when everyone was starting to stumble from too much alcohol. It was 9:40 when they left the club. Cool summer breeze greeted them with open arms. Cara took a deep breath before smiling. Bucky turned his head to look at her with curiosity.

"What thoughts are going through that pretty head?" Bucky spun her gently to face him. Cara just laughed lightly before jumping up to hug him. The hug caught Bucky off guard, making him stumble a little bit before catching his footing and wrapping his arms tightly around the girl and laughing, nuzzling his head in her neck. She hesitantly pulled her head back, keeping her arms around his neck and her face close to his with a wide smile.

"Thank you." Bucky smiled widely before pulling her into a deep kiss, her feet lifting off the ground and he spun her slightly, making her giggle into the kiss. His hands were tightly around the small of her waist. They stayed together for a moment before he set her down on her feet and pulled their lips apart.

"For what?" Bucky asked. Cara reached to fix his hair. He looked into her eyes with a small smile. The street lights lit up his face.

"Everything. Tonight. I couldn't have asked for a better night." Cara bit her lip as she looked up at him. Bucky just laughed breathlessly.

"Well it's pretty easy to have fun with you, doll." He leaned down to kiss her cheek before she pulled away slightly. The pair walked close together down the road in a comfortable silence, Cara looking at the stars and Bucky looking at her. When they found a less busy street, Cara slipped away from him to stand on the edge of the curb, looking at the view of the moon. Bucky just looked at her, confused. She smiled up at the sky.

"What are you thinkin' about?" Bucky stood beside her, looking up for a moment.

"I like to think the moon is your closest friend. The sun sees what you present to everyone else, but the moon sees what you do behind closed doors. She knows all your darkest secrets." Bucky just smiled widely at the poetic girl to his right. Her eyes were glazed over looking at the moon. The cool breeze did little to calm her red cheeks.

"I never thought of it like that." Bucky let himself look into the sky, but the sound of a car horn brought him quickly back to reality. A Chevy swerved wildly in the road, heading straight for them. Bucky grabbed Cara tightly and just barely missed the drunk driver that almost killed them. Cara just stood with a blank stare.

"Are you alright?" Bucky looked into her eyes, his hands on her arms. Instead of responding, Cara just stood still for a moment, her lips slowly curving up into a cheesy smile. She started laughing, getting louder each second until she was laughing loudly against Bucky's chest. Bucky just stood there, holding her, utterly confused by her.

"I can't seem to figure you out, and it drives me mad." Bucky spoke into her hair, causing her to pull away with a smile on her face.

"I haven't figured myself out, either. If I really knew myself, life would be boring, being able to predict every move you make." Bucky just smiled in awe at the walking mind game in front of him.

"How about we head back? You had a bit to drink, don't want you passing out on me, doll." Cara just nodded, focusing on their surroundings while they walked, looking at the different shops around them that she wanted to come back to.

"You should get changed to sleep." Cara had sat on the counter blowing on her tea for two straight minutes while she watched Bucky set up his bed on the couch. She didn't even register him standing next to her until he spoke, making her jump slightly.

"That's a good idea." She just sipped her tea looking up at him and crossing her ankles. After a second she jumped up and kissed him on the cheek before skipping off to her room. As soon as she closed her door, she let out a small squeal. Her smile would not go away even while she changed into a blue slip style nightgown, letting her hair fall down. She quickly brushed her teeth before walking out to find Bucky in a dark green henley shirt and black pajama pants. He looked up from his bag, smiling at her. He stood up to stand in front of her.

"Goodnight, doll." He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead before pulling away.

"Goodnight Buck." Cara smiled at him before slowly going back to her room, climbing into her bed. She fell asleep with a smile on her face, her dreams all occupied by the same brunette boy.
