Three's POV

We left the Kettle, and Big Man and Shiver were there waiting for us. "Hey, Frye," said Shiver. "It took a while, but we finally found a safe way to clear up that Ooze blocking the big Kettle in Landfill Dreamland," "AY! AY!" said Big Man. (Look what we found! Look!)

Another strange piece of 'treasure.' "Um...what exactly is this treasure?" I asked. "I don't know, but I can sell it for a lot!" said Frye. I mentally facepalmed. They call themselves bandits?

"We didn't find a way to destroy that big glob of Ooze," said Shiver, "But we did come up with a plan,"

"What?" asked Frye.

"Look at the treasure, Frye," she said. "Mine looks like a bunch of blades, perfect for cutting the Ooze away. And yours could be used as a handle,"

"So you're saying that we could, like...just cut it all away?"

"Ay, Ay..." (I think! Unfortunately, we're still missing a piece...)

We all looked towards the Happiness Research Lab. "Let's go there tomorrow," said Shiver. "We have to do our Splatcast soon, and you probably have places to be." The trio disappeared in a cloud of smoke. I spotted a flash of yellow fabric behind a glob of Ooze, though "I CAN SEE YOU,  GUYS!"

"Oops," I heard.

Four's POV

Ahato was finally able to leave the hospital! We went to the Turf War Lobby to get lunch, and I saw Three there. "Oh! Three!" said Ahato. "I heard you're working with Deep Cut now to get rid of the Fuzzy Ooze,"

"Yeah," she said. "We have an idea, but it can wait. There are more important things to discuss,"

"Like what?" I asked.

"We found a way to reverse the mind-controlling effects of the Ooze," she said. "It's very simple. All we need to do is destroy the original glob that infected you,"

"Well, that's a relief," said Ahato.

"However," Three continued, "It seems the Fuzzy Ooze- or whoever's controlling it- is getting smarter. It tricked me and Frye in Alterna, and she ended up in battle against me."

"WHAT?!" I exclaimed. Everyone in the Lobby was staring at me. "Er..."

"Luckily, she figured out how to break the control and no one was hurt. But if this stuff can create complicated traps like that, who knows what else will happen?"

"Right," said Ahato. "So we should just steer clear of the Ooze unless we can destroy it?"

"For now, that seems like the safest option," said Three.

"Aye aye, Captain!" said Ahato.

"FINALLY!" said Three. "SOMEONE CALLED ME THE CAPTAIN!"

"I guess that's just what everyone's used to," said Ahato. "They never call me Agent Three..."

Marissa's POV (The next day)

Ahato and I were on our way to Alterna. Agents 1-4 had called us there for a treasure hunt or something. We slipped through the grate when no one was looking (as always), and made our way to Alterna. We met up with the rest of the group.

"So why are we here? What is this 'treasure hunt'?" Ahato asked. "Good question!" said Three. "I have no idea why we're calling this a treasure hunt when we're just gonna go grab a piece of old metal for-"

"DEEP CUT!" The trio appeared in a puff of smoke for their dramatic entrance. Agent 3 facepalmed. "As I was saying, we're just gonna go in and get a hunk of metal for these guys. But we have no idea what's gonna be in there, so we called you here just in case. Alright? Everyone ready?" Before we could answer, Three jumped into the large Kettle. We had no choice but to follow. We all jumped in without a word.

"Three?" Four called. We saw her up ahead, standing in front of a strange, ruined machine. It looked like...the old Splatfest Theme generator?! "Guys, look at this," said Three. We walked over "It's printing something..."

Ding!

We looked at the sheet of paper, but it only had some dots and lines on it. "Morse code!" said Marissa enthusiastically. "I can translate,"

(3's POV now)

.-.

..-

-.

"R..." said Marissa. I heard something swoosh behind me. I looked around, but there was nothing there.

"...U..." she continued. I heard the bubbling of ink. I looked back again, but once again, nothing. Was there always a ring of ink around us...?

Marissa fell silent. "What is it?" asked Callie. "N," Eight finished. "R-U-N?"

Suddenly, the ground felt sticky. We looked down to see the shadow of a manta ray on the ground, creating ink wherever it went. "AAAAAAAAAAAY!" said Big Man. (That's my shadow! For my attack! But why is it here?!)

That's when I sensed something in the blue ink. "GET DOWN!" I yelled. Thankfully, everyone decided to listen to me, and no one was splatted by the huge freaking shark that had just soared over our heads!

"M...master Mega?!" Shiver looked shocked. "Master! Calm down! What's going on?"

"The same thing's happening to my eels! Aaah!" Frye pointed at a group of frenzied yellow eels floating around in a panic.

"What do we do?!" asked Frye.

"Aay!" (What's going on?)

"Ack! Help!"

Help us!

I was the leader, I realized. I would stand up now and do my part now.
