I stopped midway. Maraming estudyante ang nasa hallway kaya hindi agad ako makausad. I was little suspicious of what is going on. Nasa gate pa lang ako, halata na may nangyayaring hindi maganda. I saw Akio looks vague as he made his way out of the crowd. Sinundan siya ng tingin ng mga nasa tabi niya. And their stares stopped on me.
I rolled my eyes out of them and focus on Akio who stopped in front of me, shading me from their stares.
"What's going on?" Sinulyapan ko ang babaeng dumaan sa gilid ko na parang nandidiring tumingin sa akin.
Akio held my hand instead of responding. Nagtataka ako, pero nagpatianod na lang sa kan'ya. I creased my forehead as I noticed anyone's way of looking.
"May dumi ba sa mukha ko, Akio?" I asked curiously, tumingin ako kay Akio nang huminto siya at hinarap ako.
Hindi siya makatingin sa akin. Nilagay nito ang mga kamay sa magkabilaang baywang. He looked problematic as he looked down. It took a minute before he looked at me. I raised my brows, getting curious of what really is going on around. Nagtagal ang tingin niya sa akin. Unsure of what to say.
"Where did you go last weekend?" he finally asked.
Kumunot ang noo ko. Why would he asked? I was with Altaro last weekend. And there's no way in hell I'll tell that to him.
I laughed and looked down on my nails. "I was at home, Aki. Why?" Sinulyapan ko siya mula sa paglalaro ng aking kuko.
I saw him getting serious. Napalunok ako at binaba ang mga kamay. I crossed my hands and looked away. I heard his phone rang, but I didn't bother to look.
"There is a video of you circulating around," Akio said, making me look back at him.
Naibaba ko ang mga kamay ko. I keen my eyes, trying to process what I heard from him. Mas lumapit ako sa kan'ya, getting curious about the video he's talking about.
"Anong video?" I cracked and playfully laughed. "Maganda ba ako roon, Akio? Let me see?"
Akio looked away and stepped back. Sinundan ko siya ng tingin.
"It's not funny, Che." He swallowed hard. "I believe it is not you. I don't believe it. You can't do it."
Nawala unti-unti ang ngiti sa labi ko. I looked him on his eyes. He licked his lips and glance on me.
"Believe me what?" Paninigurado ko dahil hindi ko mahulugan ang nais niyang sabihin.
Hindi ko alam kung anong pinagsasabi niya. Nilingon ko ang dalawang estudyante na nasa gilid namin dumaan, they looked at me with disgust in their eyes. Kinabahan ako at binalik ang mga mata kay Akio. His phone rang.
Bumuntong hininga siya bago sinagot iyon. Tumalikod siya at iniwan ako. I was curious and wants to ask him about the video, so I tailed him.
"She's here tita," Akio said, obviously talking with someone over the phone.
"What's with the video, Akio?" I interrupted.
Tinitigan lang ako ni Akio habang tumatango sa kausap. I glared at him. Nang binaba niya ang cellphone ay tinanong ko ulit.
"Tita wants you home. Let's go." Akio and held my hands again, but I let his hands off me.
"Ano ba kasi ang video? And may klase, Akio. Kagaggaling ko lang sa bahay. What's happening?"
Akio run his hands on his hair and blew an air. He looked at me. He looks calm now.
"There is a video circulating around the campus. A pornography. It was you..." he looked away. "... and someone we do not know."
