chapter nine

               Amelia's Pov
Fabiana is still locked up in her study mad about everything. "What movie do you want to watch?"

"Well since you asked i-"

"that is R rated Riles you're not 13
yet,"

"But i turn 13 in a month's time,"she says and i find that a fair argument because she'd see it anyway. Once we settled on a movie i make sure she's comfortable before going to check on Fabiana because it was fun at first but now I feel bad that she can't be free in her own home. "Fabi please let me in,"i say and she yells for me to come in still mad at me. "Can you at least be a good host and come watch a movie with us? I'm sorry i didn't tell you before i agreed it's just that I'm her favourite aunt and i haven't seen her in a while,"i say walking over to her and leaning on her desk drawing her attention to my exposed thighs.

"Do you have panties on?"she asks curiously and knowing where this will go i stand up crossing my arms. "Just come with me please,"i say with the please coming out automatically because of how many times I've had to use it. "I love it when you beg,"i roll my eyes at her comment as she follows me to where i left Riles but she's on the floor struggling to breathe. "Oh god!Riles breathe with me,"i say but she's not listening. "Amelia get her inhaler if she has one I'll help her breathe hurry," Fabiana says and i obey running to get it from my room. When i come back she's breathing normally again with Fabiana helping her drink water.

I watch them for a bit seeing how good and gentle she is with Riles before i walk into the room with the inhaler and hand it to Riley. And she rushes to hug me apologizing for ruining the sleepover. "Riles it's okay you didn't ruin anything,"i say kissing her forehead in reassurance and even suggest to continue watching something else. I cuddle her so she can feel safe and that it's not her fault. I don't know at what point i feel asleep because when i woke up Fabiana was standing infront of me with the TV off.

She helps me with Riles carrying her to my room and i wait for her outside. "Thank you for tonight. You saved her,"

"i was doing it for her not you,"

"well either way you saved my ass from having to call her mom,"i say tiptoing to kiss her cheek as a form of gratitude before she walks away to her room not once looking back. Seeing her with Riley like that made me see how high her wall is with so many things and maybe me being her friend would change that.

I wake up to an empty bed immediately freaking out because i slept with Riley in my bed. What if she decided to explore the house and found things she wasn't meant to see or find? I go downstairs hearing laughter coming from the kitchen. Riley's laughter followed by someone else's. I walk towards the noise and find Riley laughing while seated on a kitchen stool with Fabiana saying something to add in on her laugh while making eggs. She can cook? I ask myself not sure if i should make my presence known.

"Auntie Lia, miss Fabiana was just talking about you,"she says making Fabiana furrow her eyebrows. I guess she didn't know kids were unfiltered. "What was she saying that was so funny?"i ask genuinely curious but Fabiana interrupts placing the eggs and pancakes on the counter making Riley focus her attention on them instead. I shrug it off not wanting to make a big deal of it trying to grab a mug from the ones that were now on the higher shelf. I could have sworn they weren't up there yesterday. I feel Fabiana behind me reaching over to grab it making sure that her bulge presses on my ass intentionally. She'd have to take care of it herself until Riley is out of this house.

"Ophelia she's fine stop worrying,"i say trying to calm her down because apparently Riley texted her telling her about the asthma attack on her phone. "Bring her back in an hour or I'll skin you alive,"she says hanging up. Even though she said in an hour, i had to keep my promise to Riley. "Riles grab your stuff we're going to get pizza then drop you home,"i yell not knowing exactly where she is but i know she's with Fabiana. "How are you going to get there?" Fabiana asks once Riles is done and standing next to me. "I'll Uber us around,"i say with a duh tone but she's already disappeared upstairs and comes out again still in her black sweats and a white low cut tank top leaving her tattoos out for display.

"I'll drive you,"she says simply walking past us and we follow to her car. It's surprising to me that she didn't let her driver do it because she doesn't drive herself. "Aunt Lia, do you think miss Fabiana is amazing?" She asks me out of the blue in the car. "Fabi put you up to it didn't she?"i ask glaring at her from the passenger seat but she's focusing on the road with a huge smirk on her face. "You didn't answer,"she says finally looking over to me with one hand free as she drives. "I'm not sure you want to hear my answer,"i retort smirking back.

Putting me in such a position was just low. I decide it's best to get two pizzas one small one for Riley and one for us to share because of how hungry i am since breakfast. I hear both of them chuckling and i can't tell why. "You have sauce all over your mouth,"riles says and i feel slightly embarrassed. I scuffled everything down hungrily i forgot my elegant lady manners. I try to wipe it off but they still tell me i have more and Fabiana sighs agitated as she takes a napkin and wipes me clean. Couldn't she have done that in the first place.

"Who's that in the car?" Ophelia asks once Riley is inside, looking past me to Fabiana who's on her phone. "She's a friend,"i say genuinely omitting key details but overally telling the truth. She was a friend i was sleeping with in return play house so her parents can back off. Win win. She reads me quite fast and doesn't ask any more questions telling me to be careful and talk to her when I'm ready. I didn't see a point of telling my close friends because it wasn't serious or anything and i didn't want them to get fond of Fabiana knowing there was nothing there.

I get a call from Ava and answer it on the car speaker because we were using my phone to play music. "Hey dummy, guess who's coming home!" She says excited and I'm confused because it's the middle of her semester. "Not you, you have school Ava,"i say seriously and she makes a gag sound.

"There was a shoot out and they had to send us packing plus it's lonely in your house,"

"A what? Are you okay,"i ask worriedly. "I'm fine clearly but a student got shot in the process,"she says like it was no big deal. Mom would have her permanently stay here if she found out. "Also Brianna gave me something to give you,"she says before Fabiana hits the breaks abruptly making me hit my head on the dashboard because i didn't have my seatbelt on. I hang up and turn to focus on her annoyed. "Did you happen to hear something shocking?" I ask sarcastically but she's driving again not looking over to me once. I wonder what she gave her given my clear warning for her to stay away from my sister. Then it hits me, what if Ava doesn't buy it and blurbs during the lunch with Fabiana's parents?
