Today was the happiest I had been in a long time. It was the day before Christmas Eve and I was finished packing everything for the wedding. I was up at four in the morning even though we weren't supposed to leave until eight and spent the rest of the time bathing, singing songs like a broken record player and playing games on my phone.

Clecentine - even though she was not fond of the idea of leaving her work and business for two days - came along as well, just like it was planned and left her matters in Walter's hands.

I remember that she had told me about a dangerous arms-dealing business of hers in San Fransisco and told me to be careful and not go wandering about the streets at night.

I had no idea what the fuss was about. It was arms dealing not human trafficking. And I still remember what she said when I had commented on it.

She had looked me dead in the eye and said, ''Just because they sell arms and ammunition doesn't mean that won't sell a woman if they find a pretty one.''

Now that had scared me a bit.

A sigh left my lips and I brushed my hands on my pants, taking my suitcase and walked to Clecentine's office. And just as she had instructed I didn't enter her office without permission and just knocked and stood there.

No response.

I knocked two more times before the clicking of heels against the floor stopped my hand midway before I could knock again. Looking to my right I saw Clecentine walking towards me, carrying the suitcase by its handle in one hand and her phone in her other hand as she scrolled through it.

Ah, so she must be coming from her room.

I wonder why I had never seen her room. I had just seen the door few months ago when I was trying to find the kitchen and boy did it look beautiful and grand.

Quite a secretive and mysterious woman indeed. I wonder what she has there to hide.

My eyes shifted back to her again as I snapped out of my thoughts.

Her outfit was comparatively casual compared to her usual suit. This time she opted for a plain white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows and black jeans.

Now here's the thing. I had asked Clecentine about the flight tickets but to my surprise she said that we would be going in her private jet. On second thought I had realized; of course she has a private jet. She's one rich woman.

''Let's go.'' she said, walking past me, not sparing me a glance, her eyes glued to her phone.

I tried not to think about her ignorance and walked alongside her.
