I woke the next morning to the sun shine in my eyes, my head pounding and my body sore. I groaned as i sat up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes and squinting to look out the window. I sighed and leaned back on my hands, the rush of last night flowing back to me, making me feel like i'm drowning. I through the duvet off of me and flipped my feet off the side of the bed, standing and putting on some sweatpants. I headed out my bedroom door, trudging into the kitchen. i wondered if Cece was home. I shrugged slightly and started brewing coffee. I stopped for a minute and picked up my cell phone from the counter, hearing nothing but the coffee pot. I quickly unlocked it and dialed Lucian's number, placing the phone by my ear and listening to it ring. Twice, five times, stopped. Voice mail. i furrowed my eyebrows, he should be awake by now, it was almost noon. i tried again, but the same thing happened; no answer. I sighed and placed my cell back on the counter harshly, pouring the coffee into my cup and feeling the steam on my arm. I sighed and shoved the pot back into the holder before i walked into our living room, gently sitting on the couch to make sure i didn't spill the coffee. I set it on the table and looked out the window, seeing the brilliant blue sky and black birds fly by. i smiled a bit, as i have always loved the outdoors.

The door lock clicked, and it swiveled my head to see Cece walk through the door with her hands full of bags. "Hi!" She smiled widely at me. I got up and grabbed half of her bags, carrying them into the kitchen and placing them on the counter. "Where did you go?" i asked, peeking inside one of the bags.

"The grocery store." She smiled at me, taking out the items from some bags and placing them in their proper places throughout the cupboards, pantry and fridge. She looked at me, i could feel her eyes on me. 'Whats wrong? are you okay?"

I shrugged. "i don't know," I paused, sighing out and ruffling my hair. "Its just...me and Lucian got into a fight last night, and he said some pretty weird things." I turned my head to her, concern in m eyes.

She furrowed her eyebrows. "Huh? what did he say?" She asked, approaching me so she was now by my side.

I shrugged, shaking my head. "He just...was pissed at me, and i still dont know why. He punched me, Cece..." I looked at her, "he would never do that." I said, feeling tears prick my eyes.

Cece hugged me. "Have you tried calling him?" She asked, pulling me away.

I nodded. "There was no answer." I frowned. "Cece, i'm really worried about him."

She grabbed her keys. "Then," she said, walking to the door and opening it. "well go to him." she smiled at me slightly before both of us took of down the hall.

We parked in the driveway of Lucian and Lulia's home, not really knowing if anyone was home since the sun was reflecting off the windows. I hopped out and watched up to the door, knocking hard enough to be heard and waited as I heard Cece approached me. I looked down at her and waited, and when nothing happened, I knocked again. The same thing happened; no answer.
At this point, I was starting to freak out; I didn't want Lucian to do something he regretted. I took out my keys, finding his house key and unlocking the huge wooden door. I creaked it open and peeked inside. "Lucian?" I called, stepping inside and searching the rooms. Cece went upstairs, telling me he wasn't up there. I took in a breath and let it out loudly before looking around the kitchen, seeing a note on the counter. I furrowed my eyebrows and picked it up, the black ink blotchy in places, like water was spilt on it. I sight and started reading:

Leo,
I've gone to back to Transylvania. I didn't have a choice. Lulia is here with me and we are healthy and safe and it will stay that way. I don't want you to worry about me, worry about you and your sister. Please don't get upset, because it wasn't you. Don't follow me here, it won't benefit you.
I love you, Leo
-Lucian

I crumpled up the paper and through it on the ground before tears started falling down my cheeks. I stormed out of the kitchen to see Cece standing there. I looked away as she spoke my name before I ran out of the house down the street, resisting the urge to look back.
