[Salvatore Boarding House]
Alura and Damon are upstairs in Damon's room, Ali having gone upstairs to calm him down. Hearing Elijah start to explain the plan to the others, Alura drags Damon back down stairs. "Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse." Elijah states.
Stefan then turns to Elijah. "Elena said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus."
Elijah nods. "Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it...He'll be a true hybrid."
"Unfortunately, that means I will too, and I think we can all agree that is not something we need right now." Ali states as her and Damon enter the room.
Damon nods in agreement with Alura. "Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie."
Stefan narrows his eyes at Damon in warning.
"Damon...""No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying." Elena refuses the Bonnie plan.
"I'll write her a great eulogy." Damon sasses.
Elena sends him a glare. "It's not an option, Damon."
"I agree, little witch has more going for her. Bennett's are hard to come by." Alura states, crossing her arms.
Damon throws his arms up in exasperation. "All right, how do we break this curse?"
"Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know." Elijah points out.
"The moonstone." Stefan interrupts.
"A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each." Elijah explains.
"Let's not forget my blood and power. Witches just have to make things complicated." Alura complains.
"And where do I fit into it?" Elena asks.
"The final part of the ritual." Ali responds as Elijah picks up a wooden box he had stashed on a shelf.
"Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelgänger...to the point of your death." Elijah adds.
Damon looks at Elena. Stefan takes Elena's hand. She looks at him. He opens the box and takes a jar from it.
"And that's where you come in." Elena states.
"This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation." Elijah states.
Alura crosses her arms. "It was really hard to come by. Resuscitation magic is extremely complicated, so lets not waste it... again." Ali adds bitterly.
"So I'll be dead?" Elena raises a brow.
"And then you won't." Elijah smiles.
Damon scoffs at the plan. "That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?" He looks at Elena. "You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?"
Alura rolls her eyes at her best friends stubbornness. "Those rings only work on humans. The doppelgänger's a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the ring won't work."
"I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work, Elena?" Damon pushes.
Elena shrugs nonchalantly. "Then I guess I'll just be dead."
