Time Stopper, 4

“Gentle!” Leafy commanded the block carrying her to who knows where. “I am paying him to do this, Leafy, he’s just doing his job.” Gb explained but the lemon leaf still struggled. They were in a forest and stopped when in front of a tree. She went up to it and tapped something that Leafy couldn't see though she did hear a scan and the tree opened some sort of passageway. Blocky finally put her down and put out his hand which Gb went ahead and placed a few coins in before he left. “Follow me.” Gb told her and she did what she asked, following the smaller object into the tree. The door closed and the ground they were on was going down fast. “You may wanna hold onto- '' Gb stopped speaking seeing Leafy on the ceiling, her back against it and her face looking traumatized. “Oh right, you’re a leaf.” When the elevator came to a complete stop Leafy fell onto her face but instead of checking on her Gb only continued out of the elevator. She groaned and rubbed her head then got up to follow Golf Ball. Computers, tables crowded by gadgets or papers, everything you can imagine inside this weird lab. “Okay, can you sit down in this chair for me?” Gb instructed. Leafy sat on the chair and a helmet fell onto her head roughly, now her head hurts, how nice. “So what’s this experiment thing anyways?” She didn’t get a response from her. She pulled the lever and the machine started up, colorful lights coming from the helmet. “Tell me, and be honest! Where are you from?” A knot got stuck in her throat, “Somewhere.” was all she said.

Gb looked at her and back to the screen that started the machine. “I knew it!” She yelled and turned it off. The helmet disconnected and Leafy got out of the chair sweating like crazy. “You don’t belong here, do you? I already know the answer but I wanna hear it from you.” Leafy took a breath and shook her head a little. Gb nodded in response till grabbing a few papers beside the computer. “II North, a glitch-like substance found at an abandoned house, distorted 5 trees and spreading slowly. Specifically one centimeter every hour.” She read the next paper, “In the middle of nowhere in the East, near here, lively creatures were found, holding the shape of numbers. 43 people died and even eaten alive by them. No sex detected and no exact purpose. Audio recording,”  Gb pressed something on a computer and audio started playing, it was distorted making it sound like something out of a horror movie. “Hell is coming, Hell is coming, we are Hell,” The rest of the recording she can’t even determine what it's saying.

Gb went ahead and paused the recording and put her attention back on Leafy, her standing there like an imbecile. “I don’t know how you got here or why but you’re creating these disasters. Are you even aware that you went from your dimension to ours causing a break in the multiverse allowing creatures or things from other dimensions like yours to come to ours. This breaks our world till it's nothing but atoms floating in space! Not to mention that you and whoever’s world is now stuck in time because of a disturbance inside it.” Leafy’s eyes drifted into space, not even looking at her. ”Leafy!” Her attention snapped into focus, “We need to get you back to your world so more people or things won’t come to ours and get everything that did go back to theirs too! Sadly it’s impossible to actually do so. I just need to know how you got here so I can have an idea.” For some reason, she couldn’t remember. She swore she knew but it's like it evaporated into the back of her mind. “I, I think I forgot.” She stuttered. “What?! Do you atleast know when you got here?” Gb gave a forced smile. “Yesterday.” She looked stiff.

With a deep breath in, she exploded. “How could you have forgotten how you got here when it happened yesterday?! Is your memory as bad as a bee?!” She kicked a random gadget on the floor that shot out a huge lazer after impact and broke through glass and the wall “Golf Ball! Find your happy place!” A random voice from another room yelled. She took another deep breath in, minus the exploding part, “Here's what I want you to do, Leafy. Live here as if everythings normal and as soon as you remember how you got transferred here, report to me immediately! Alright? Good. Since I promised Tree and Black Hole that I would return you at the end of the day, I'll keep you here a little longer, tell you everything you need to know about this village.” As Gb turned Leafy took time to think, she has an open chance to get the “Loser” deal off her chest. “Golf Ball, can I tell-” “He’s on the loose!” A small green plant came running holding a toy airplane. A big tennis ball, also armless as Gb, came running after it. “Tb! Why is Grassy here!” Gb took a hold of the younge object. “When you said you wanted a small subject I thought Grassy would be perfect!” Golf Ball rolls her eyes at him, “He’s too young! You could have gotten a Nickel or Naily, even Coiny!” Tb looked down at her nervously. Grassy made eye contact with Leafy and his eyes sparkled. “Grassy’s mommy!” He made grabby hands towards Leafy while Gb and Tb looked at him. “Might as well call the whole world your parents.” Gb resorted. “Let’s go to Aunt Basketball Grassy.” She let him go but instead of going to Tb he went for Leafy almost immediately.
