Sophie's POV:

"Come on Sandor," I complained. "I've been doing this for hours."

"You could never have too much practice, but you could have too little," Sandor pointed out. I was not too fond of it when someone who had never studied anything but fighting would say wise things that I couldn't think of. "Put your bag leg further back and use your momentum in the punch, don't stop halfway through it."

I did what he said and I would never admit it to him but my punch was so much stronger.

"Good job," He applauded. "Want to go on to the next exercise?"

"No, let me just practice this," I said, punching the dummy repeatedly in the head (Or where its head would've been if it had one).

"Once we finish this you could go in your room and fall asleep, now at least you have something to look forward to," Sandor said.

"Okay," I said.

"The next thing I'll you doing is goblin-star throwing," He said, lightly tossing one to me. The silver star fit smugly in my hand it felt equally balanced. I turned toward the dartboard and threw it, it missed the board and fell into the grass.

"I told you that you needed practice," Sandor said, tossing me another throwing star and showing me the way to hold it 'properly.' I threw it again and it hit the outside row.

"Getting better," Sandor muttered. After what seemed like hours I went inside with threw throwing stars on each strap of my legs (Sandor insisted, For my protection). I sat down on the living room couch and wiped the sweat off my forehead. Sandor sat down next to me and put his arm along the top of the couch.

"A few more months of this and you should be back to your normal performance," Sandor said. I couldn't tell if he was kidding or not. We sat there for a few moments when Edaline came over and gave me and Sandor each a chocolate chip cookie. I wasn't in the mood for eating but I did it for two reasons. 1) Who says no to chocolate chip cookies? 2) I didn't want to say no to Edaline.

"Thank you," I said. "These are the best."

Sandor examined his cookie for a couple of moments before carefully taking a bite out of it.

"These are great," Sandor said, asking if he could have another one.

"Yes dear," Edaline said. "As many as you want."

"Thank you," Sandor said.

"Oh, and Sophie I got a call, your matchmaking packets are ready," Edaline said before turning into the kitchen to no doubt bake more cookies.

"I'll see you soon Sandor," I said. "I going to get my matchmaking packets."

Keefe's POV:

Of course, right when I was about to get some dunkin' donuts at the mall near Foxfire Sophie had to interrupt by hailing me and saying, "Keefe my matchmaking packets are ready, meet you there." And then she hung up, without any explanation. But no matter how much I liked dunkin' donuts I made an oath to Dunkin' donuts that I'd come back later, and then I light leaped over to the matchmaking building.

"Finally, you're here," Sophie said. "Fitz couldn't make it, he said he had something to do."

"Well, then, what are we waiting for?" I asked. "Let's go."

Sophie stayed quiet, trying to contain her excitement. She bounded up and down the path, happier than I'd ever seen her before. We walked up to the front of the building and opened the big glass doors that led into the building. Inside the building was practically deserted. I saw no one except a boy and a girl holding hands hopefully on the bench.

We walked up to the desk and Sophie said her name and asked for her matchmaking packets.

"Yes, they're ready," She said. "Let me go get them for you, Ms. Foster."

"Thank you," Sophie said. A couple of minutes later the lady at the desk came back holding a stack of papers.

"If I could have you sign here, please," She said, gesturing to the line at the bottom right of the page. Sophie did that and signed the papers she asked before retrieving her matchmaking packets.

"Thank you," Sophie said. She quickly grabbed her matchmaking packets and pulled me along with her until we reached the leapmaster and light-leaped away.

We met Biana, Tam, Linh, and Dex in front of Everglen.

"Guys," Sophie wheezed. "I finally got my matchmaking packets."

"Well, then," Dex said. "What are we waiting for? We all have our matchmaking packets too, now let's reveal our number ones."
