first time avery was on the bleachers. she wasn't out there cheering.
no doing flips, or stunts, or pom poms.
she missed it so much. she watched the game with layla, liv and mrs. baker.
today was avery's dad death anniversary. avery had went to go to a viewpoint, where he got buried around there.
aaron was the most loving father. he cared about everyone around him. provided everything for his family.
while asher finished the game. avery left the game early. liv and layla knew of it, but she went there alone. they were there for av earlier in the day.
"hey layla, do you know where avery is?" asher asked layla finding her with spencer.
"yeah she's at the viewpoint." layla said. "wait why- oh my god i forgot." asher exclaimed.
"asher wait!" layla yelled. "what?"
"tell her you like her before it's too late. i see it." layla smiled. asher nodded and quickly left.
"he so loves avery." spencer commented.
avery was sat down. her legs tucked, with her chin of her legs. avery wrapped her arms around them.
she had a bouquet of flowers beside her. asher was behind approaching her. "hey." asher whispered.
he sat down, as he held a box of white roses. "your dad loved white roses."
"you remember?" avery asked. "i've been so caught up with my game it slipped my mind. i'm so sorry."
"it's ok, really. you've been going through stuff." she assured. "so have you. i've been caught up in my own world i didn't check up on you."
asher took off his jacket placing it on her. "we have a thing of me giving you my jackets." asher joked. avery smiled.
"i got you smiling." asher said. "yeah you do."
"i'm always here for you avery. no one ever tells you but i'm proud of you. for everything. and if you ever need to talk, i'll be here."
"thank you asher." avery looked at him. "i miss him so much, you have no idea." avery mentioned as a tear slipped out.
"look at me." asher lifted her chin up. "you're one of the most strongest bravest person i ever met. hell both your parents absent. i'd be a huge wreck. and dealing with your mental health and issues. that's one badass person if i say so."
asher wiped her tears. avery hugged asher. "thank you." she mumbled.
asher rubbed her back soothingly. asher didn't want to say it today because of her dad's anniversary.
"c'mon let's put the flowers." asher suggested.
avery and asher were at chris' party and went their separate ways. avery went to liv.
"big news. i just found out my dad had an affair with spencer's mom." liv said.
"wait what?"
"i know."
avery went in the backyard and saw liv pouring a drink. she grabbed it away. "no." she sternly said.
"why not?"
"you're not throwing away that hard word for nothing."
"fine i'll pour another." she said. "then i'll take that away too."
"i care about you liv, you'll not be drinking." avery said.
asher went back to his dad's house to go resolve issues between him. avery stopped by but asher was asleep.
so she talked to harold. "how's school, cheer?" while she cooked omlets.
"stressful cause of mid terms. and cheer is over because of school."
"sorry to hear that."
asher heard commotion and went downstairs seeing his dad and avery. he watched the interaction.
"how's home?" harold asked. "um it's home."
"if it's ever lonely you're welcome to stay here." avery chuckled, "thanks for the offer, but hopefully i'll be fine."
"hey." harold told his son. "i came but you were asleep so." avery said.
"avery and i were just talking and made some food. let me get out of your way." harold added leaving.
"it's good to hear my dad laugh. it's been a while." asher smiled. "well i got nothing better to do. it's useless at my house."
avery got a call from her mom, but ignored it. "sit plesse. taste the food i made." asher sat down staring at avery.
championships were today against crenshaw. avery went to go support her friends to win.
until someone got injured in the game. asher told avery to wait up for him because he wanted to talk to her.
once the game ended, she waited for asher.
they went to avery's house since it's always empty going to her balcony.
"so you wanted to talk?" avery mentioned. "uh yeah." asher nodded.
"this is hard to say. but layla told me i should say it sooner or later. but avery collins i like you. seriously. you make me like you from the way you didn't treat me horrible, gave me a home to stay and help me. you were by my side through all. and i just-"
avery shut him up by pressing her lips against his. they deepened the kiss with asher cupping her face.
they let go as then leaned foreheads together. the pair opened their eyes. "i do too. i never really hated you when we were younger. sure you were rude sometimes and a dick but people change." asher chuckled.
asher kissed her again.
