chapter five

Omg! I was still blushing from what happened in afternoon! I couldn't stop thinking about it as Shadow kept me from doing so while texting me. These were our texts.

Shadow: 'hey handsome, this is Shadow.'

Me: 'Hii.. I'm Sonic!'

Shadow: 'yea i know, u told me remember? u even saved ur number with ur name already.'

Me: 'Whoops yea! Haha..'

Shadow: 'u're cute, like really cute. are u new to this neighbourhood?'

Me: 'Huh- oh yea I am! I moved in like yesterday..'

Shadow: 'that's cool, do u know ur school yet?'

Me: 'Uhm no, let me check with my mom real quick.'

Shadow: 'ok but be quick or i'll miss you ;)'

Me: 'Hey I'm back! Anyways my school is South Bridge High!'

Shadow: 'wow! i'm in that school too.'

Me: 'YAY! I mean cool!'

Shadow: 'haha cute.'

Me: 'What? I'm not cute!' (but I was blushing so hard irl)

Shadow: 'u just got cuter. anyways gtg ttyl babe.'

"Babe? Huh what? No, he's just playing with me. Ugh he's so annoying!" I thought.

By then it was already dinner time and I went down to eat together with my parents. The whole time, I couldn't get my mind off him. Ughh!

"Have you met any new friends? I mean you did went out to the park a few times. And why do you look like that? Did something interesting happen?" Mom asked in worry.

"Heh, yea I did make one friend and I'm just looking like that because I can't wait for school!" to see Shadow of course, but they didn't need to know that.

They just smiled and continued eating, while I continued to think about Shadow. After eating, I went up and told Gray all that happened.

Grayy!🐺: 'Damn, congrats my dude! I suppose he's into u ;)'

Me: 'What? No! Well I don't think so..'

Grayy!🐺: 'It's pretty obvious bro..'

Me: 'Uhm.. but whatever! It's not like I like like him, I think..'

Grayy!🐺: 'Yea even I know u better than urself! But anyways, wanna play one game before we sleep?'

Me: 'Oh, u're on!'

We enjoyed a game until about 10pm, yes one round was that long. But as always I did my daily night routine and tried to close my eyes to sleep. I still kept thinking about Shadow and I woke up when I got a text message. I couldn't help but check, it was Shadow!

Shadow: 'hey sweetie.'
Shadow: 'oh i see u're still awake!'

Me: 'Hi! Why'd u text me so late?'

Shadow: 'nothing, i just missed u.'

Me: 'Missed me? Why?'

Shadow: 'isn't it obvious?'

Me: 'Uhm.. No??'

Shadow: 'nvm then.'

Me: 'Uhm okay..'

Shadow: 'so wyd?'

Me: 'I was about to sleep.. wby?'

Shadow: 'u sleep so early? well i just came back from the gym.'

Me: 'Yea, I'm supposed to.' and my god no wonder he has those big muscles and hard abs..

Shadow: 'ok since u're gonna sleep, goodnight darling.'

Me: 'Alright goodnight! ^^'

Okay, let's not ignore the fact that he called me sweetie AND darling? What on earth is he trying to do? He is sooo annoying. Annoyingly handsome, hot and sexy! Ugh! But anyways as I said, I put away my phone, closed my eyes and slept. I smiled to the fact of him exiting. God, sometimes I don't even understand myself.

Shadow: 'goodmorning sweetheart.'

Me: 'Hii! gm!'

Shadow: 'so how are u?'

Me: 'I'm fine since I kinda just woke up, wby?'

Shadow: 'really? haha i woke up at 5am.'

Me: 'Bro whaa? Why so early?'

Shadow: 'work.'

Me: 'Ooo what do you work as?'

Shadow: 'none of ur business.'

Me: 'Rude.. but okay! Imma go eat breakfast now, enjoy work I guess?'

Shadow: 'yea bye.'

Wow I honestly just realised how dry Shadow could be. But it's alright! At least he texts me, not so often but still once in a while. Hopefully when we bond more he'll text me more?

Anyways I zoomed down to the kitchen as soon as I smelt the delicious aroma of bacon. Omg! My mom was making bacon and eggs! I quickly chomped down onto my breakfast and thanked my mom for the breakfast. She just smiled and I zoomed back to my room and enjoyed another game with Gray.

Yes, I'm still in contact with Gray but slowly no longer with Sally. I was never that close to Midnight and Roxanne to begin with soo. I lost my smile due to the fact that Sally and I had already drifted apart when I only moved away 2-3 days ago. I mean at least I still have Gray? But what if I distance from him too.. Who would I have left to hang out with? I just hope that I'll make new friends during high school. If not I don't really see why I should be so excited about life anymore.
