I woke up at around 10am, it was a Saturday and when I checked my phone, I realised I got two texts from Shadow.

Shadow: 'goodmorning cutie.'
Shadow: 'meet me at the park when you're awake.'

I still had mixed feelings about Shadow, whether I loved him or whether I'm afraid of him. I got ready, ate a piece of toast and set off to the park.

There, I saw Shadow sitting silently at our usual bench. I slipped myself beside him and we sat there in silence for about 3 seconds before he spoke.

"I'm sorry I made you feel that way." He paused and looked at me. "I promise I'll do whatever it takes to make you feel better if you just give me another chance!" He begged, looking at me with his ruby red pleading eyes.

I rolled my eyes and said, "Fine! But don't prove me wrong.."

He smiled so happily, and he seemed so cute. I just smiled at his adorable grin.

He brought me to a mall and treated me to arcade games, lunch and some shopping. After that we went to his house, I assumed that we were going to play games but he suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me onto his lap, with us face to face.

I blushed and looked away, he was smirking. Why was he like this! One moment, he was all likeable and cute, and another, he was hot and inappropriate! I liked both sides of Shadow but the feeling of him just using me was killing me.

I guess he noticed that I was uncomfortable and moved aside while apologising. To be honest, I liked what he was doing and I wanted him to continue with it. But I guess I chickened out..

Shadow's POV
"Ugh I made him uncomfortable again! I have to control myself, no matter how horny I am."

"Let's just play a few games shall we?" I said to break the silence. He nodded and we started to play a few rounds.

Sonic's POV
"Not gonna lie, Shadow isn't even that bad.. I think I was just overthinking it too much. Maybe I should give him a second chance."

"Hey it's getting late, I'm gonna go home." I announced after playing another few rounds.

"Sure! ... Do you want me to walk you home?" Shadow said, hesitantly.

I nodded with a smile and we started walking to my house. Again it was quite quiet, like the last time, but it wasn't too bad because Shadow was by my side.

When we reached my house, I kissed Shadow on the cheek and I expected him to just smile and watch me walk into the house but instead he grabbed me and kissed me on the lips. I was surprised at first but went with it. I kissed him back and hung my arms around his shoulders while he hugged my waist.

Just then, the door of my house swung open..

"Honey, I'm gonna go to the m.." My mother paused as she saw me and Shadow making out.

I quickly pushed Shadow away and smiled awkwardly and faced my mother. While Shadow was blushing lightly because of embarrassment and rubbed the back of his head.

"Sweetheart! Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend! And especially that you're gay!"

"No mom! We aren't together!"

"Nonsense! You guys were literally making out! Come in! Come in!"

I followed Mom into the house with my palm on my face while Shadow awkwardly walked behind me.

As we sat down at the dining table, Mom went to call Dad. There was another awkward silence that filled the air, Shadow and I just kept siding eyeing each other while my parents came down.

J - Jules (father)
B - Bernadette (mother)
S - Sonic
Sh - Shadow

J - "So son! You didn't tell us that you were gay?"

S - "Yea! Thats just embarrassing.. and I never found the right time to do so!"

B - "Oh honey, we love you dearly! How could we ever not support you for who you are!"

B - "How long have you guys been dating?"

S - "Well actually we aren't officially together yet.."

J - "Then you guys should date! My son needs someone to love him to the fullest after all."

Sh - "Well if he's fine with it" He then turned to me and smiled. I blushed a little and looked away.

While that was happening, I could see my parents cheering and being super supportive which was kind of annoying but they're just my parents after all.

And after that day, me and Shadow became official. We were super open about our relationship and many supported us. Including my friends and schoolmates!

All my friends soon became a whole big friend group. Meaning all Tails, Knux, Ames, Sticks, Silver, Blaze, Rouge, Shad and me of course!

With each day passing by, I love Shadow a little more. He makes me so happy and we soon grew up to marry each other and live happy lives :)
