The next day, Stormy and I spent most of the day at the Manehatten Flea Market. We were there handing out fliers for the business. Since our family is one of a few Pegasus families in Manehatten, we corner the market on deliveries.

The smell of the food stalls, on the other side of the market was so good, I nearly forgot I had already eaten breakfast.

Later on, when it was time for me to take my break, I decided to check out the other stalls.

Most of the ponies running the stalls come to the market regularly.

I kept walking around the market until I found a shop that I had never seen at the market before.

Instead of being a table with a gazebo-style tent, this tent had multiple tables and shelves that formed a circle. The tent overhead was a deep red.

The tables and shelves were packed to the wings with curios that I had only heard about. Some of the items glowed with magic, while others looked rather plain and unassuming.

I looked at my reflection in a mirror. Even though I looked a little tired from work, I still looked presentable.

"Find anything interesting?" Came a voice from between two tall shelving units.

"Uh, no. Not yet. I'm, uh, just looking." I said, stumbling over my words.

"Well in that case, are you looking for something in particular?"

I walked over to where the voice came from.

Squashed between the units, was an elderly unicorn pony. His mane was white, and so was his beard, which came down to his chest. He was behind a table with a bit register and a stack of folded paper bags.

"Do you have anything," I asked, dragging out anything, "That could <possibly> help me get a girlfriend?"

"What do you mean by get a girlfriend? I don't provide any magical items that deal in mind control."

"Oh Celestia no! Not mind control! Nothing like that!" I said, balking at the thought. I found the thought all together abhorrent.

"I was meaning something like a conversation starter piece. It could help start a conversation and we take it from there."

"Conversation pieces. I carry those. Try the second shelf on the far unit. "

I walked there and started looking at the assorted items. I looked over; crowns, figurines, jewelry to attach to your wings, and ornamental shoes for your hooves.

After I did a second look over the curios, I found something of interest.

It was a silver necklace, and it was severely understated in appearance. Having only a chain and a small tab engraved with a stylized moon.

I hummed thoughtfully, looking at the price.

Well I do like astronomy. Even if it doesn't help me find a girlfriend, it's still a nice necklace.

"I'll buy this." I said, picking it up with a hoof and bringing it to the counter.

"Good choice my good pony." The shopkeeper replied, taking the Bits.

I walked back to Stormy wearing the necklace.

"Hey, Storm! I'm back." I cheerfully called as I trotted up to her.

"Well we're out of fliers, so now we can go around the market together," She replied, "Oh cool necklace."

"Thanks. I got it from a new stall. Wanna check it out?"
