It has nearly been an year to Loki and Synthia's courtship, the love between them still strong, AND they had managed to keep it as a secret, well, except from Frigga, Thor, Melody, The servant who cleans Loki's bedroom, The day maid and just about every einherjar you could find.
But yes, their courtship was still a secret from the all-father's eye.
Loki's year has been going blissfully, his love by his side and he felt like he could do anything, though the tension that they had assumed would go away once they had started courting, was still hanging in the air. Now, every small caress is leaving the other one breathless, every kiss deepened, but both didn't want to overstep any boundaries.
Loki didn't want to offend her by asking her and Synthia thought Loki was too shy and would deny, so they both kept their thoughts to themselves.

One day they were both wandering through that marketplace, seeing people sell wares and relics. Both were silently stewing their thoughts, though outside they both appeared to be completely nonchalant. As they were going through a jewelers store, Loki stopped Synthia and asked, "What would you like to buy, dear heart. I want to give you a present."
Synthia lovingly said, "I don't need anything Loki. Heavens know how many presents i have because you suddenly decide to buy me something extravagant."
"No, you have to buy one or I shall find you something much more extravagant, like this." He said playfully while brandishing a very heavy piece of gold.

Though the necklace looked beautiful, Synthia knew she would never wear it. So to stop Loki from doing something like this, she started looking around the shop.
Several fine pieces of jewelries sat on the shelves and in the cupboards, some earrings as big as her hand with large rubies or sapphires sat in the shelves but none caught her eye.
Suddenly she saw a small thin chain among the masses of gold-encrusted bracelets. She pulled out the chain, at the end of which was a beautiful emerald in the shape of a square. the necklace looked so beautiful in her eyes.
She happily turned to Loki and showed him the necklace, who smiled and nodded.
